I started making plans to go
to the Metal Sludge show as soon as it was announced. It was an
excellent line-up. Faster Pussycat / Enuff Z'nuff / Pretty Boy
Floyd / Crash Kelly, and Hosted by Daryl Miller of Killer Dwarfs.
I thought it was going to be excellent, and I wasn't disappointed.
About a week before the show,
Scott, my usual concert buddy, said he couldn't make it :o(
I briefly...very briefly, thought about not going alone, but I couldn't
pass up a show like this.
I put Peyote (my Rotti) in a
kennel, and headed from Ottawa to Toronto. I arrived in TO early
in the afternoon and parked near The 360 (note: parking in the lot
beside the club from 2:00 pm - 2:00 am cost more than the ticket for the
show . . . doesn't that just seem wrong to you).
I headed back to Ottawa right
after the show. I stopped at a parking lot just outside Toronto to sleep
in the car, and continued home around 7:00 am.
The show was excellent !
I'd do it again, in a heart beat.
