Holly Marie Combs was born in San Diego, California; December 3, 1973. When she was 8 years old, Holly and her mother packed up and moved to New York City. Holly began acting in commercials at the age of 10 and attended the well known Professional Children's School in New York City. After several minor roles on television and in movies, Holly landed a starring role on the Emmy Award Winning drama, "Picket Fences". That launched her television career as she did several TV movies and built up her acting resume. In 1998 when a new series called, "Charmed" was set to begin casting, Holly got a nudge from best friend Shannen Doherty and surprisingly won the role of middle sister Piper Halliwell; the part Shannen was auditioning for. Since the series began in 1998, Holly has been thrust into international stardom as Piper Halliwell, and is currently expecting a baby.
