Apple Sour Cream Ring
(looks can be deceiving—this cake is addictive!)

Cup walnuts, chopped
1 Tsp cinnamon
1 Apple, sliced

Cup margarine, low fat
2 Cup flour
1 Cup sour cream
2 Eggs
1 Tsp baking powder
1 Tsp baking soda
1 Tsp vanilla
Combine nuts, cinnamon, and
1/2
cup sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
Peel and core apple, slice thin, and set aside.
Beat butter and 1 cup sugar. Add flour and remaining ingredients and beat for 3 minutes.
Spread half of dough in bottom of a greased and floured 9" tube pan.
Sprinkle with half of the nut mixture. Spread the sliced apples over the nut mixture.
Spread rest of the dough on top and sprinkle with remaining nut mixture.
Bake in a 350
o
F oven for 60 to 70 minutes.
Yield: 10 servings.
