Natural Cereal

3 Cups oatmeal, uncooked
1 Cup wheat germ, toasted
1 Cup coconut flakes, unsweetened
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 Cup dry milk, skim
2 Tbsp oil
1/3 Cup honey
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 Tbsp cinammon (optional)

  • Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large, shallow glass dish.
  • Combine the honey, oil, and vanilla and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Drizzle this warm liquid over the dry ingredients, coating thoroughly, using your hands to stir.
  • Place this mixture in the oven at 250oF for one hour or 300oF for half an hour, stirring several times.

  • Variations: Seeds, nuts, raisins, or dates can be added after the mixture has cooled.
