Natural Cereal
3 Cups oatmeal, uncooked
1 Cup wheat germ, toasted
1 Cup coconut flakes, unsweetened
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 Cup dry milk, skim
2 Tbsp oil
1/3 Cup honey
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 Tbsp cinammon (optional)
Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large, shallow glass dish.
Combine the honey, oil, and vanilla and heat in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Drizzle this warm liquid over the dry ingredients, coating thoroughly, using your hands to stir.
Place this mixture in the oven at 250
o
F for one hour or 300
o
F for half an hour, stirring several times.
Variations: Seeds, nuts, raisins, or dates can be added after the mixture has cooled.
