  • In a skillet, brown beef. Drain.
  • Transfer to a greased 2-quart casserole. Add the next 8 ingredients.
  • Cover and bake at 350oF for 1 hour or until rice is tender.
  • Uncover and sprinkle with the cheese. Return to the oven until cheese melts or about 5 minutes.

  • Yield: 6 servings.
1 1/2 Lb ground beef
3/4 Cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 Cans (16 oz) stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 Lg green pepper, chopped
3/4 Cup long-grain rice, uncooked
3/4 Cup water
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
3/4 Tsp salt
3/8 Tsp pepper
1 1/2 Cup cheddar cheese, shredded
