Grandma's Pie Crust Cookies
Pie Crust
2 Cups flour
1 Tsp salt
1 Cup shortening
1/2 Cup ice water
Sift together flour and salt.
Cut in shortening. Add ice water.
Mix well and chill.
Yield: 2 pie crusts.
Cookies
Butter
Cinnamon and sugar mixture
Preheat oven to 350
o
F.
Keeping one pie crust in the refrigerator, roll out the other pie crust into a 10x7 rectangle.
Spread butter or margarine over crust up to 1/4 inch from the edges.
Sprinkle liberally with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Roll up crust starting at the shorter edge to give a 10-inch long roll.
Slice roll into 1/2-inch slices.
Repeat with other pie crust.
Place slices on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake until golden brown.
Yield: approximately 40 cookies.
