	The La Jolla YMCA is a very important facility for helping all sorts of people. The YMCA helps individuals develop self-confidence, self-respect, and an appreciation of their own worth as individuals. In this manner, they become responsible members of family and community.
The YMCA also helps individuals appreciate the beauty, diversity, and interdependence of our society, and foster the development of their capacities for leadership and use them in appropriate ways in their own groups and in community life.
