The Big Picture!
            The St. Agnes-Corpus Christi Outreach Ministry provides residents of area boarding homes and other long-term care facilities with opportunities for personal, spiritual, and social growth and development.  Our Outreach Ministry serves over 200 residents in 10 boarding homes and 2 long-term care facilities.  As a result of your contributions we are able to positively impact the quality of life for those who reside in these homes.  Some of the services we provide through our Outreach Ministry are:

    Personal Services:

•  Each home is visited regularly by the Outreach Minister
•  Investigation of resident concerns where prudent and possible
•  Ambulatory residents are taken shopping, to visit relatives, etc.
•  Affirmation and support of nursing and boarding home staff and administration to improve living conditions and relationships among residents.

Spiritual Services:

•  Monthly prayer services are held at boarding homes.
•  Mass is offered monthly at Grafton Oaks Nursing Center.
•  Preparing those residents who are at the appropriate stage for death and dying, be present for residents through the dying process, preparation and/or participation in funeral and burial when fitting.

Social Services conducted at our weekly Dustin House program:

•  Entertainment including bingo, music, games, etc.
•  Birthdays are remembered with cards, visits, and small gifts.
•  Coordination of special group and individual efforts to provide gifts and entertainment at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
•  Educational programs and programs designed to improve mobility.

        Another expression of the St. Agnes-Corpus Christi Ministry can be experienced through our Martin’s Meals program.  Martin’s Meal is a soup kitchen/feeding program that provides meals to needy residents of the Dayton View neighborhood.  Because of contributions and many faithful volunteers we are able to prepare and serve more than 75 meals every 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sundays of the month.  This program benefits many needy families and individuals of the local community.  Thanks to you, Martin’s Meals provides a warm meal for those who may otherwise go without.
