We are being called the NANYANGals, seen around with our white sleeveless uniform with the 2 red Chinese characters (hongzi)
Diligence, Prudent, Respectability & Simplicity is our school motto.
4 years (1993-1996) of secondary school life in this big family, the 2nd home
for most of us...
This is a big family which holds many many happy memories & sadness.
We laughed, we cheered, we cried and even had disputes among ourselves, but these are all the things that nurtured me, and that which made this school a special.
Fondness grew and we were bonded even stronger as we approached graduation.
Tears were beyond our control when we sang our graduation song. For the 1996 batch of graduating Nanyangals, I am sure we all felt the sadness of leaving the school during our rehearsal for the graduation ceremony, when we all realized that it's time for us to step out of the embrace of NYGH & head towards another segment of our academic life.
I will never forget that moment when we sang the school song, & the graduation song with the piano accompaniment by Wang Bin Laoshi...it was a moment when we all felt strongly for every part of NYGH
