Sunday 21

Webpage updated: 21 September, 2003.

What can I say? We're a slack bunch of bastards. Well, only when it comes to the website and gigs.

Should anyone be actually checking out this site (and not a member of the band) Ox is about to begin working hard (for us that is) on recording shit, releasing shit and pulling out `the finger' in general. Who knows, we may even brush off our Sunday best for another gig soon? Won't that be fun boys and girls?

But we have been busy - Harry, Hewy and Hoffa have recorded a shiteload of stuff for their neato-fabbo side-project HHH (pronounced Triple H, like as in the wrestler).
Hoffa has also recorded a bunch of solo stuff, including two albums - Existyle and Downplay - worth of rad tunes. Existyle was even nominated for a Warrnambool Associated Music Industry Award (that's WAMI to you - but not the WA ones).
Me and Harry have been working on the soundtrack to a film called Prankster Trippin', which was made by Warrnambool director Johnie Stanley a few years ago and is about to get the spiffy re-release treatment. We're also gunna do some soundtrack stuff for his new film Hospital Corners so stay tuned for that.
Plus, I've been working on a side project with Jade McLaren (the lazy fucko from the song Hey Jade) called The Extreme Sprinklers.
The exciting thing is that we're going to release a heap of music soon from Ox, the various side projects and solo works. Stay tuned, or as Harry likes to say, "watch this space".

Ox have entered HACKYSACK into the JJJ Unearthed competition. The song was entered into the Grunge Pop categories due to lack of a Crazyrock category.

As you may not know, Ox is currently observing the "no gigs zone" that befalls many bands around about their third year, but rest assured...help is on the way! The lads are currently taking some time to pursue musical interests outside of Ox, with the intention to come back with some blow-your-mind ideas in the next few months. Need I say watch this space?

OX ON THE MP3.COM.AU CHARTS!!

Thanks to all of you who have checked out our new songs at mp3.com.au because:

The Canadian Song is currently 7 in the grunge charts, Titled is currently 4 in the adult alternative charts, & Drive by feel is currently number 14 in the power pop charts!!

Due to the lack of promotion of the new mp3's we were very surprised to see them doing so well!
There are also two new gigs listed in the Upcoming Gigs section and a brand spankin' new Guestbook!

In case anyone reads this, I'm updating again, hoping you all had Merry Xmas' and Jolly Boxing Days. With any luck we'll have a huge update soon, with new pics, a whole new section full of odds and ends, maybe more MP3s and all sorts of goodies.
Our road trip to Edenhope and Horsham was great, big hello to anyone who caught either of those shows, we had a good time, especially at Nexus in Horsham. You can read all about our exploits in the Warrnambool Standard this Saturday in the Weekend Magazine section, complete with photos by my beloved.
I think we should have a mailing list, so if you want to be on such a list send us an email at mneal@standard.fairfax.com.au
We've got even more new songs on the way, so make sure you check us out at a gig near you. As for the CD The Last Sane Man On Earth, it's completion gets closer every day.
