Okay, so I was super stoked on this show, not just because of the awesome bands that were playing but the fact that it was 3 minutes from my house was really cool.  Dont get me wrong, I dont mind traveling to Ojai or Santa Barbra, but when I can ride my bike to the show, that fucking rules.  And there is just something about a show in your homwtown that makes the show really special.  So me, Steve, and Milo showed up about 2 hours early.  There were some other people there too, but there was no one there to poen up the door, and let us in.  So finally the guy came, and we had to move all the couches and tables and stuff so we could have somewhere to play.  There is like a miny stage, but it can only fit the drummer, its okay.  There is alot of room, and there is a cool cafe thing in the back, to get all kinds of stuff.  There ended up being about 100 people there, way more than I thought would show up.  So Hit the Deck was up first.  They are form Ventura CA, they play an old school hardcore type of music.  Fans of Minor Threat, Gorilla Biscuits, and Youth of Today would enjoy them.  As a matter of fact they covered, Gorilla Bisciuts.  They were a little sloppy but they real drummer wasnt there, so they had someone else fill in.  But I wouldn't mind seeing these guys agin sometime, they were enjoyable!  Next up was Makeshift 3 from San Diego CA.  I was talking to their bass player before the show, and I think they were a little intimadatd because of the fact that they weren't really a hardcore band.  So they weren't expecting a good reaction at all.  So they started to play and I would consider their style of music to be punk/emo.  They weren't what your average hardcore kid would regularly listen to but, they were fun to listen to and they were a change, from the regular pissed hardocre band style.  So I really enjoyed this band over all!!  And I would check them out if your into Saves the Day, Thrice, or New Found Glory.  After them was As Beginging Ends.  This is the old Good Enough with Steve now on guitar.  Pretty much the same style as old Good Enough, but more technical parts.  Overall better than the old Good Enough, but they have the potential to become ten times better.  Not a lot of people moshing but Brian did get dog pilled twice so thats a plus.  They also did cover "Bring It On" by that one band, Eyes Full Of Rage.  And Adam Hanlan sang it.  They got an amazing response, which is well deserved for a well picked out cover song.  Up next was Diehard Youth, props goes out to them because they were in Santa Barbara earlier that day recording to put something on vinyl if I am correct.  And they came down to Oxnard to play a show.  Although I know they had been stoked majorly about playing Oxnard.  They got an great response, lots of moshing, and tons of singing along, it wasa a great time.  Andy was bringing the posi jumps that only he can.  Anyways up next was Whatever It Takes.  They started out with some song [i forgot] and there was about 30 people circle pitting.  Their whole set, lots of circle pit, tons of mosh and singalong.  Danny broke a string though and then he threw his bass and broke a big piece off, that sucked.  WIT covered Oxnard, and two guys from Ill Repute were there.......  how cool.
Great show, last show before school sssooooo.........................
