bands: Hit The Deck, Elleventh Hour, Through It All
Okay so I ahd to be stoked coming into this show, a member from One Life Crew was in TIA.  And if they sounded any thing alike I would be joking their nuts!  Also, I would be able to see HTD and 11th Hour!  Man good lineup I would say.  Originally it was suposed to be HTD, TIA, BearTrap, and Built To Break, but something happened and they couldn't play so unfourtanetly 11th Hour was put on, haha j/k.  SO the show was supposed to start at 7:00 but it ended up starting at aroun 8:00 I think.  There wasn't a lot of people there, maybe like 50.  It was only three bucks which was cool!  Also it was the first show for that venue in Ventura, it was decent size, no stage, and it kinda got hot in the room but it was decent.  So Hit the Deck was up first was up first, I had seen them about three wekks before at Cafe On A and I was into them.  They play an old sschool style hardcore/punk.  They also happened to be a Christian edge band!!  Which I think is cool, because sometimes its hard in life to lay out what you believe on the line especially when you might get some shit for saying or believing in certain things, but their not afraid, and I give them a lot of respect for that.  So anyways they started up, and there was some people circle pitting and some mosh going on.  A couple people singing a long for select songs, and a good time.  They covered Gorilla Biscuits, like I have said before I am horrible with names of songs, so the song was the same on that they used at the last show.  They played a short set I thought, like 5 songs or six songs, anyways it was fun, and I will be looking forward to seeing these guys sometime again hopefully.  11th Hour was up next, and I had my moshing shoes on!  They started out with one of their new songs, which by the way you should pick up their CD, and they went into their best song by far I think, "Until We Die".  Everyone was wrecking everybody for their whole set, lots of spinkicks and windmeels [spelling].  I think Albert Moshhard lived up to his name, haha!!  Albert their singer/bass player broke one of his bass strings or something, good job Captain break a lot, haha.  No but they were really good, and really fun....  so if you like to mosh and wreck shit come out next time they play and represent.  Anyways up next was Through It All, hailing from I dont know where, I think somewhere up north.  They have a former member from OLC who apperantely is a reborn christian.  Before they started to play, I saw their set list, and they had about 20 songs on it!  I didnt know if they were gonna play all of those or what but I thought that was a bit much. Anyways they started out and man were they good!!  Im not sure what anyone else would say their style is but I thought they were kinda tough guy hardcore with melodic breakdowns. Really good stuff, they had really tough intros into their breakdowns, but then they would bust out with some semi/breakdown skank thing, it was okay but I was kinda expecting something a litter more.............tougher/heavier.  But they had some good heavy breakdowns, which was good, and really caught my attention!  They ended up playing brackets of like 3 or 4 songs each.  Which flowed good and kept the circle pit action and moshing going on!  Alsi they played all of their songs that they had listed, and there was actually a couple of people up front singing along every once in a while.  They played a cover but I'm not sure what it was, I aint oldschool enough....haha.  Zack Control grabbed the mic from the singers hands and he was fuckin just wreckin foo's like mad, it was great, he ended up clearing out the whole front!  He sang almost the whole song, then gave the mic back, it was hillarious.  Some people were yelling out OLC covers and the guy was just like, haha, "you guys are already starting" and then he laughed.  They were good overall and so was the show, until next time ...................
