Okay so I wasnt originally going to go to this show, I didnt even know about it untill a couple days before.  So I got a ride with my friend Brian, and Anthony went with us too.  So we shoed up like at 7:30, the show didnt start until 8:30....fuck waiting!  There was a huge liine outside like around the buildiing and shit.  There ended up being about 300 people who paid to get in....excellent turn-out.  And get this shit the fucking show was 10 dollars.  Fuck that shit, I didnt pay for that bullshit.  It's okay though because enough people did, haha, I'm a scumbag huh, whatever.  So Endless Grey was first. Anyways, so they are the ex-black opal band.  I was expecting just some straight metal stuff from them.  I was plesently suprised  because they didnt play just metal.  They mixed it up a lot actually, some melodic parts, almost emo-ish and some fast almost hardcore stuff.  Their singer had a good melodic emo voice but then he would fuckin bust out with some metal voice and it was a real good mix, a lot of bands are mixin it up like that these days, but it sounds good still.  Their drummer was fuckin good, he teaches mt friend drum lessons ssooo.  I hope to hear these guys again, cause I thought they brought some good stuff.  Up after them was Fairweather from Virginia or smoewhere from the east coast.  They had been on tour for like a ridicolous 3 months or something...fuck.  I had never heard their music before the show, I wasnt sure what to expect, their name kinda sounds.....emo.  They started out with like a guitar ring-out, and it sounded like they were gonna be good hardcore, well they weren't hardcore.  That aint bad but they were kinda pop punk emo.  Their singer is all big and he looks kinda tough, but his voice is ssssoooo high pitched, I mean it fits the music perfect but it kind of sounded funny.  If you are into New Found Glory, Saves the Day, Movielife, ect... you should dig these guys alot.  One good thing, their guitar players and bass players moved the mother fuckin house, they were going pretty crazy, that kinda kept me into watching them for a little while.  Oay stuff over all, not my favorite but I could hang for a while.  Props for being on tour for like 3 months though.  After them was Grade from Cananda.  I didnt even know they were on Victory until the day of the show I found out.  Cool for them!!!  So they started up, their singer dressed all rock-starish.  I kind of turned me off to them.  Its hard to explain their style of music, I guess you could call it melodic hardcore.  I dont know....i could be wrong but the singers voice was melodic +metal at sometimes.  I didnt watch them that much, only for a couple songs, so I wouldnt be qualified to categeroize them.  After them was the band I had been waiting for all night.....ZAO.  They are pretty big, on soild state recrds from the East Coaast somewhere.  I would categorize these guys as metal.  I dont have any of their music or anything, I came out to see them to dance my brains out.  And that I did, everyone was going pretty nut for them, lots of kids up front singing along and tons and tons of spinkicks.  There was quite a good amount of people keepin it real on the dance floor, good stuff, evryone was showing respect and shit.  Good show !!!!!!
until next time
