date: 12-8-01 venue: Ojai Womens Club bands: Skare Tactic, Planes Mistaken for Stars, The Hope Conspiracy, American Nightmare, Converge Once again I showed up late to this show cause I was in LA playing soccer.  I should have gone to the Lifes Hlat show...ha.  That was the big decision to make, wether I was going to go to Lifes Halt or Converge.  I wanted to go to Lifes Halt because, I mean come on...its Lifes Halt.  Even though I dont even really jock em that hard, they are the oldest hardcore band around and one of the best, and they deserve the most respect, I couldnt go my mom was sketchin so I just went to  Ojai..whatever...sorry Lifes Halt.   So I showed up just in time for the band that I wanted to really see on this show...The Hope Conspiracy!!  I figured out who they remind me of a lot...STRIFE...seriously I think they sound like them a lot, but they have tougher mosh.  They are from Boston and they still have that Boston hardcore feel but more metal and more breakdowns to fuck shit up.  They are one of my favorite bands right now!!!  They put on a pretty intense live show..people seemed to be really into it..lots of mosh and singing along.  I was defanitely wearing my moshiong shoes for this one!!  Up next was An, I dont really care to see them again, Ive seen them 3 times already, so I went outside.  I suppose they went crazy, somrr guy came out with his shirt all bloody!!  After them was Converge, this would probably be one of the only times that you could see Converge at such a small hardcore venue, so I went and wtched them and did a liilt e dancing.  I dont really like them that much, some of their songs are ok..but they kinda get...boring, or they sound they same to me. late XXX
