This show had to strat at 6 oclock becasue there was 8 bands that were playing.  Thats like 2 shows in 1 pretty much, but I was stoked to see all the bands that were playing.  Even if it meant I would be deaad after the show...its casual.  Within A Dream was up first, they started at 6 oclock exactly.  This was their second show, so I wasnt expecting them to get a great reaction, which they didnt get.  But now they have their demo out so they should be getting some support now.  I really like theis band a lot, plus the guys in the band are my friends soo. Go to my record review section and Ill review their demo soon.  After them was Heartriot, this was the second time that I had seen them play.  This band is quality!!  Really catchy lyrics and vocals that are taken from an emotional standpoint, with a mix of some fast hardcore/punk stuff, really good stuff.  Andys back up vocals fit perfectly for the style.  There was, some circle pit action and some occasional mosh and some singing along, go to their website and check em out and see when they are playing and how you can get their demo cause its quality.  Usually after 2 bands half the show is over, but now only a fourth of the show was done.  The Damage Done was next from up north.  I have seen them like 5 times in the last month or so so Im not going to say much except you need to check em out for sure!!  After them was Staygold from Seattle.  After playig an excellent show at Ojai I wasnt sure what else they could do to put on a better show...they showed what else.  They played a fuckin sick set, absolutely nuts!!  They got the best reastion that Ive ever seen at The Wharehouse.  Im not sure if I have said this before, maybe not, but I am beginning to like shows with no stage more than shows with stages.  It feels like you are more apart of the band and more into the music when the band is closer and not above you, I dont know, thats what it seems like.  Anyways kids were going fuckin crazy, huge circle pits, insanly tough moshes, sing-alongs that had everybody jumping everwhere and everything and everybody!!  They even played a couple songs without a mic cause it broke.  And actually I think those songs were crazier than the ones with the mic...go figure.  They played a couple songs from the Indecision release and 4 or so songs from the demo.  This band is going to get really big I think in the near future, they have the potential, so I hope the best for them.  After then was The First Step, I was really tired so I had to go outside for them, but I can assume from what happened at Ojai they got a pretty sick reaction.  Because at Ojai, they got an amazing reaction, way better than I was expecting them to get.  Up next was Champion, who happen to be my favorite band right now in hardcore.  They are so amazing....and I am pretty lucky to have seen them like 5 times now.  Every time they get better and better, even when I think they cant get any better at all, they amaze me and do!!  They played pretty much all the songs from their 7"  and mixed in some new ones...excellent stuff!!!  And like I have said before they are probably one of the nicest guys in hardcore next to Diehard Youth.  They really deserve the reaction they got and I was really stoked for them!!  Kids were fucking eachother up for the moshes and in addition to some good circle pit action there were some good singalongs.  After they played I couldnt believe that there was still two bands left, man fuck long shows, I was really tired.  But I had to keep going...haha!!  Up next was Hit the Deck.  Reviewing these guys is getting harder because I have already reviewed their shows a bunch of times.  They played their demo songs and added some new ones, while people were gettin their circle pit action on and a little mosh.  After them and finally was Diehard Youth, oh ya and this show was also their record release of their split with lines of scrimage and their s/t.  Which was Diehard Youths first two presses on vinyl.  They opened up with...I cant remember but I know they played a couple old ones, "Youth'R'Us" and "Lean On Me".  That was pretty rad, cause I really like those songs!  "Lean On Me" is like probably one of my favorite Diehard Youth songgs even though they hardly ever play it, it has such a good sing-along.  Everbody there was piling on for all the sing-alongs and pretty much loosing their mind.  It was really cool!!  Diehard Youth is like right on the verge of going big, I think if they go on an East Coast tour kids willl jock em hard.  And the cool thing is I cant really think of anothe band that deserves it more that Diehard Youth.  Great show!!! Awesome bands!!!!!Awesome time!!!!!
