venue: skatepark in Moorpark date: 9th of july bands: In Control, Whatever It Takes, 11th hour, some project band Okay so I was really stoked to get to see 11th hour again, since the last time in moorpark. I really really liked them, they have killer mosh, and the crowd always seems to be into it. It was at the opening of some skateshop in moorpark, they set up some ramps and what have you in the parking lot so that was cool for the skater kids. In Control was going up first, it was really hot that day, I remember thinking I was going to die from the heat. Anyways so In Control set up and started playing, there was a lot of moms and dads there that were like whoa what is this, and what are they doing? It was kind of funny. So I was getting my mosh going and I guess some T.O. guy had never been to a show and he thought it was a Papa Roach concert or something, and he was going around wrecking everyone, and he was doind it a lot. So I saw him coming behind me like giving his friends high fives and stuff, so I round house kicked him in the head. Hey, I'm not sorry at all, that kid got what was coming to him. So he had to learn the hard way, oh well. I hit him pretty hard, like really hard. Then some of his friends jumped in, and they learned the hard way too. The NARD really kept it real that day, and it was fucking awesome. I just want to say thanx to all the guys who helped out, because it would be the same for any of you guys too. So In Control played awesome like always, I mean they always bring a great great crowd response, and they deserve it. So their set was over and I was drenched, and I felt like I was going to pass out, but it was well worth it. Whatever it Takes was up next, and I was ready. It doesn'y matter how many times I see Whatever It Takes, it never gets boring to me, and I have never seen or heard them enough. Whatever It Takes mixed it up with a lot of their new stuff and a couple old ones, and the regular NARD kids were there fucking shit up. 11th Hour was up next, I had been looking forward to seeing them for a long time because they seriously bring the crazy mosh. And they are the coolest guys ever too. They started out with "Until We Die" which has the killer mosh and the china salute pumping. That has to be my favorite 11th Hour song. It's funny though because the Moorpark kids have their own little wrech people pit going on. I mean thats cool or whatever, thats just not my thing. So the 11th Hour brought their mosh on evryone. Earlier in the show I wrote about that kid wrecking people, and then he got wrecked, well he was back. And I have no idea why. I saw him watching people then he just ran out and tried to wreck more people, what a fuckin looser. I guess Adam didn't realize or he didn't know that it was the same guy as last time so he just pulled him aside and talked to him. That kid was saved, because he tried to sock me again, and I was really pissed off. So that little thing was over and then the 11th Hour finished up. Great job guys, and keep up the good work. There was another band that played, from what I heard they were mostly EMO, which isn't bad, but it's just not my thing. I didnt really kie them. but thats okay. So the show was over. All in all it was a good show, until next time later. |
