venue: Ojai Womens Club
bands: DieHard Youth, ALC, In Control, In Control
This show was In Control's record release show!!!!  It was their demo and their 7' put on one CD, through Siw Week Records.  Iwas really stoked that Powerhouse was coming down to play the show, because I had seen them a few years earlier, at Lazerstar, and I really really liked them.  But I thought maybe they had broken up, because I heard nothing from them for a while so I was kinda bummed.  But when I heard that they were playing the show, I got really excited.  So, Diehard Youth was up first, they have been playing a lot of shows lately, and I never ever get tired of hearing them, they rule.  I mean they are so so good.  Anyways their set ruled and everbody was really stoked.  ALC was up next, I heard a little bit of their stuff before the show, it was okay.  Nothing really great though.  But don't take my word for it and check them out for yourself.  Maybe you will be into them, it just happened that I am not soooo....... In Control was up after them, let me just say, it is getting hard to do show reviews for some of the bands because I can only say so much.  After saying that they ruled like always, everybody was going crazy, bringing the mad mosh and crazy singalong.  Good shit, and good luck on the tour guys.  Powerhouse waas last, but certainly not least.....  Powerhouse ended up playing a few old songs and a lot of new ones.  Their new stuff is a lot more melodic and catchy..... I think.  I kind of has an East Coast feel to it.  Like Reach The Sky.  I really liked it.  They played my favorite powerhouse song, "Fence-walker".  That song rules.  That band rules.  Great show.
