bands: My Luck, Far From Breaking, Breaker Breaker, The 3rd Degree, Carry On, American Nightmare
What an awesome show, look at all those good bands.....man!!!  I was stoked, stoked to see American Nightmare, Breaker Breaker[for the first time], and The 3rd degree.  And of course the rest of the bands!!!!  So I ended up going with Brian and Albert, we showed up and there was a lot of people there already, there ended up being about 250 or 300 people, I think.  It was a real good turn out.  So My Luck played first, I ahd seen them the day before, and I likes them, they played with the same intense energy and quality music.  Oh also, if you read the show review before, the Texas guys had the "Chain-Day," well that day was the "Youth-Day."  All of them wore Youth Of Today shirts.  Far From Breaking was next, they didn't cover Youth Of Today though, but they did cover Chain Of Strength.  I was kinda dissapointed at the lack of mosh considering there was so many "edge-kids" there and Far From Breaking being an edge band.  I dont know, sometimes it frustrates me that people only go to see certain bands and dont "explore" or "expand" their horizons.  I dont know?  If you get where I am going, then you understand.  Anyways, Far From Breaking ruled, and I will be stoked to see them on the 24th, an unbelievably amazing show.  So The 3rd Degree was supposed to be next but they weren't there so Breaker Breaker played.  I had just gotten their demo a couple weeks before so I was really stoked.  Their singer is a really really cool guy, I didn't get a chance to talk to any of the other guys.  I guess you could call Breaker Breaker a youth crew band, but there are something more than that.  They have a very east-coast style music with good breakdowns and killer lyrics.  Anyways they ruled!!!  So I was expecting Carry On to be next, but The 3rd Degree showed up.  I was once again kind of dissapointed because The 3rd Degree set up and played and suddenly there was only about 70 people in the room.  I dont care, you can make your own decisions but at least give bands respect for making an effort.  Ohhh....... The 3rd Degree set up some smoke thing and they had a pink light!!!!!  Fuck Ya.   That ruled.  The 3rd Degree is pretty rad, I liked them.  They had good cicle pit action and their guitarist freakin rocked, he was bad assssss.   They had good energy and they put on a good live performance for being a 3 piece.  They also said they were from Oxnard, I dont know if it was true or not but, that was cool.  Carry On played next.  Well................... American Nightmare was after them.  Some people might be a little mad at me [haha] for saying this: first American Nightmare is an amazing band, they are great, I love them, but they are severly "overrated."  Yes I said overrated.  But everybody was amped to see them, and they are killer live.  But after almost every song for some unapparent reason they rang out.  It wad fuckin annoying.  Besides that the AN ruled, and they got an amazing response.  GOOD SHIT!!! Fun show
