Diehard Youth vocals: Andy Diehard guitar: Dave Priest bass: Terence Baker drums: Eric White Diehard Youth is from Tehachipi California, where are they from? And what comes out of Tehachipi California.............. One of the best bands in so.cal hardcore right now. They are positive but pissed. But they are not just one of those cheesy posi-core bands. I feel that they are one of the few bands who actually dont throw the words around, they actually mean what they say. Their first CD "All for one, and one for all", is one of my favorite CD's ever. When I first got it, I listened to it for about two weeks straight, nothing else but them. They have really good sing-alongs, good breakdowns, and they have something that just makes you keep on listening. That CD has never gotten old for me. I don't know it is just one of those great CD's. Their new "promo" cd is just as good, I think that they have gotten even better. Anyways I wish the best of luck to them in the future and keep on rockin. Diehard Youth has released: -Rip it up [five track demo tape] -Diehar Youth and the posi revolution -All for one one for all [debut CD] -Prevent this tragedy [6 track 7inch comp.] - Too leight for the pit[[all rap covers, they do "bust a move" -Promo 2001 [6 new songs and a cover] |

Fields of Fire singer: Ben Edge guitar:Jamie Sanitat guiter: Jesse Rosemoor bass: Chris Grande drums: Graham Cliss If you are not down for Fields of Fire, fuck you. You seriously got problems, because these guys rock. From the beginnig I knew that they were something special. Playing an old school hardcore style in vein of Uniform Choice and Minor Threat, these guys draw in a big crowd every time they play. The cool thing is they bring a lot of "younger kids" to the scene, which is great for the future of hardcore music. With the new addition of Jesse on giutar be looking forward to thse guys rocking even harder. Definetly check these guys out when you get the chance. Fields of Fire has released: - The Demo [recorded live at KCSB] - The Kids Can't be Bought E.P.[don't be alarmed at the cover Ben had hippie hair j/k] |

Over My Dead Body singer: Daniel guitar: Aaron guitar: Scott bass: Rob drums: Tommy Over My Dead is from San Diego California, they started up in the summer of 2000. When two of the members of the recently broken up Built To Last wanted to start an edge band. Over My Dead body is a very solid hardcore band with good music and positive edge lyrics. But that is not all, they are aware of the politics also. Which is a great mixture and fits this band great. FUCK WHITE POWER...... FUCK YUOR PRIDE!!!!!!! So definetely get a hold of some Over My Dead Body, because they rock. You can go to Indecision Records or www.xomdbx.com Over My Dead Body releases: -"this feeling will never fade" demo -split 7" with swindle on showgun records -no runnres 7" on Indecision -split 7" with timex on phyte records |

11th Hour Bass and Vocals: Albert Guitar: Brendon Drums: Doug Guitar: Ian The 11thHour is from Moorpark California. And I have thought along time about this review, for this band and their new CD. It has taken me this long because 11thHour is such an amazing band. Their first recording/CD had four songs on it I think, and they just came out with a new CD about a week ago[8-1-01]. Okay so their first CD is really good, I would consider 11thHour a "metal hardcore" band. The four songs on their old CD contain four crucial mosh songs. Metal hardcore mosh at it's best. "Until We Die" is by far one of the best mosh songs that I have heard lately!!! The first time I heard that song live I pissed my pants, I was like fucking shit, what is that? Anyways, the new recording absolutely blows their old stuff out of the water!! The sound is the same, but they have added more "emo" parts into thier songs, of they have upgraded their mosh even more, which I thought was impossible. I can't really think of a band to compare them to, which might be a good thing because they are very unique and original. 11thHour's lyrics are a little "dark" and they are mainly about lokking at one's life, and the world around them and asking questions and wondering. If you have never seen them, you are missing out an a good display of hardcore. I only have one suggestion for the 11thHour, I am sure that they have heard it before, but they should get a singer that doesn't play an instrument. Don't get me wrong their singer is good and I like the was he sings, but they they would definentely get a better response at shows, which would mean more fans. But......... besides that they rule. And on top of the band, the guys in the band are the coolest, and most friendly guys. Good luck to 11thhour in the future, and keep up the good work. So check them out at www.11thhour.cbj.net 11thhour has released: - A CD with four songs -And another CD with six songs . |
