We've got hunters from all over the world sending in piles and piles of
photos to put on these pages. We
have hunters from countries such as USA, Argentina, Indonesia, Australia all
sending in their photos of their
local hunting.
We have updated the photos for the collars
pages.
By the way something important!! These pages are now becoming so popular
that I have to spread them over different servers so that I don't exceed my
'user limit'. It looks as though my Geocities hit rate is getting excessive
because I keep getting emails from them each day saying my user limit has
been exceeded. Therefore, could you please choose another one of the links
if you have links from my pages. Cheers, it would be very much appreciated.
Please remember that these pages are now located in three different areas.
They are:
American Geocities (which I am trying to reduce the daily traffic to so it
doesn't exceed the daily user limit)
Australian Geocities - It is okay to link to this one - - http://au.oocities.com/oz-pighunter
http://members.ozemail.com.au/~bamster/auspig.html
The new photos in this update have been added throughout the whole site.
I thought it was about time I got rid of some of my old dated photos and replaced
them with some of the great photos that are being sent in from around the
world.
Remember, viewer discretion
is requested. If you don't like blood or seeing injured animals, don't go
any further!!!
- We have been sent photos from Hawaii,
Australia, America and Canada of some really big hogs.

tusks that you'll ever see!!!!
- See photos of the catches of some professional
Australian Pig Hunters.
- See hogs that have totally ripped up
and mauled their pursuing dogs!!
- See some of the young hunters, the hunters
of the future, that have taken some trophy boars.
- Have a look at outlawed dogs chasing
the outlawed hogs!!
Due to outstanding interest in these pages an
American Mirror site has now been set up with
What
is the Pig Hunters Page all about?
The Pig Hunter Page is all about getting a group
of sporting Pig Hunters that were already on the Internet and bringing them
together, as well as maintaining their own individuality on the Net. It also
provides an opportunity of further developing the comradeship between Pig Hunters
and the promotion of the Pig Hunting sport.
Well,
tell me about Pig Hunting?
Pig Hunting throughout Australia is done mainly
with a firearm and occasionally with the use of dogs. Feral pigs are found all
across Australia. They are an introduced animal to Australia and are often referred
to as 'The Captain Cookers' indicating that most of the Australia feral pigs
were introduced by early pioneers to Australia. Feral Pigs are one of the main
threats to Australian fauna and flora and the Australian landscape. Their damage
can be found at Water holes to destroying bird nests, and destroying flora and
plant life by eating nearly anything (vegetable or animal, living or dead!).
The destruction of the feral pig throughout Australia is not only condoned,
but actually encouraged by governments and land holders. This is due to the
recognition of the damage caused by these pests. Subsequently, pig hunting has
recently become a rapidly increasing pastime for many Australian residents.
Pig Hunting is easily accessible to most residents in Australia, and can be
relatively inexpensive due to the abundance of feral pigs across Australia resulting
in an easily accessible source of hunting. Anyhow, enough of the academics and
on with page.
