Here is a picture of my dog Koota and myself after we caught this 95kg boar out on an open plain.
We were driving long and I got out and started walking into the wind. I got closer and closer until I was about 200m away when Koota took off in search of the pig , all hell broke out, the pig ran for about 400m and straight into the water which was about half a metre deep. Koota got hold of an ear and with the pig throwing him like a rag I grabbed his leg and that was it good night Irene.
I later noticed a cut on Kootas leg from a 3 inch tusk but it wasn't anything serious.
The pig was caught in Ivanhoe along with the other 8 pigs we got that weekend.

This boar was caught at Mungidi on the NSW QLD border we were hunting at night with dogs working of back of Hilux. The Wolfhound bitch in front is one top finding and lugging dog she lugs any pig on her own, her half brother on the front end is very similar but only 12 month old.
The pig weighed 140lb and was caught at 1.30 am 2 weeks before Xmas I was hunting with my 13 year old grandson he,s a good boy on the torch and spotlight.
The 2 white dogs in the pic are wolf hound x one 2 years and one 5 months.

This ole mate ended up weighing 78 kgs dressed for the box.
I live out at Bourke in N.S.W.
I  get out every couple of days and give the dogs a chew.
