Deborah Gibson (A.K.A. Debbie Gibson) is one of my favourite music artists. I've been a member of her fan club since 1988. I like her music because much of it is filled with positive messages like "Anything Is Possible". I enjoy listening to her fun dancy tunes and her powerful ballads. She's still making music in America and I have a large collection of her CDs.
Star Wars is one of my favourite movies ever. As you can probably tell by my list of favourite movies, I love fantasy and sci-fi. I think Star Wars is the ultimate blend of the two. Now that I'm old enough to earn my own money, I'm building up quite a large collection of Star Wars memorabilia.
Buffy is a TV show that I never want to miss. A show where a female lead character is strong and beats up the bad guys - I like that! It also has witty pop culture dialogue, inventive and imaginative storylines and fun, interesting characters. It has a great blend of comedy, drama, horror (not too scary) and fantasy.
I've always been enchanted by the Fantasy world. When I was young I always wished I could see fairies at the bottom of my garden or walk through my wardrobe to another world. Now I escape into fantasy worlds by reading books (Anne McCaffrey is my favourite author) and watching movies and TV.
I've loved dancing ever since I was a child. I finally started going to dance class again this year after a 13 year break and I'm having a great time!
After watching my Mum bowl for a couple of years I joined a ten-pin bowling team in 1992. Since then my team has gone through many changes. I've met a lot of people (even my boyfriend!) and improved in my bowling. I now have an average of 150 and this year my team is called Cool Cats.
One of my favourite and most profitable hobbies is entering competitions. A couple of years ago I joined an email mailing list dedicated to sharing information about competitions. My best ever prize so far has been a trip to Disneyland that I won from UHU Glue a couple of years ago. Other big prizes I've won are a $1000 shopping spree at RM Williams, $1000 worth of perfume, $1000 of petrol vouchers, $2000 worth of VIP Home services, 2 digital cameras, a trip to Townsville, a trip to Thredbo and a one year free movie pass. I've also won heaps of CDs and videos.
