selecting aftermarket evaporators


Evaporator of choice? Need replacement help[850][1995]  Cm -- Sunday, 15 April 2001, at 8:28 p.m.

 If the factory evaportators are so bad what brand should I replace the dead one with? Thanks in advance
 for your help!

 I can't really help you with what other brand to go with, but I do want to tell you that there are 2 new factory
 Volvo A/C evaporators for sale on Ebay ($179). Just saw them tonight. Might be cheaper than through
 dealer if you end up going with Volvo part.

 they have both OEM Genuine and good aftermarket

 Anders: I went with an aftermarket evaporator made of copper as opposed to the factory aluminium. It was
 a lot cheaper (half the price) and works great. My mechanic got it through, I believe, Worldpac. No more
 worries. Be sure they replace the receiver dryer also. Good I would also replace the O-rings on the heater
 core and the instrument cluster bulbs on at the same time while the dash is out. Good luck!
