Just a little tip I stumbled upon re alarm/immobilzers
on my 1995 855GLT
When I bought the car the dealer had lost
the keys & remote but had had a Locksmith
cut a new key which worked fine but the
alarm was activated which meant I couldn't
start or drive the car. This problem was
circumnavigated by removing a certain fuse
as you are probably aware. This was not
an ideal situation as there was then no
central locking or interior lights working
on the car and I kept forgetting to lock
certain doors at night! I got to thinking
and knew that you could reinsert the fuse
with the engine running and the car would
not stop, however the alarm was
reactivated. What I did was not start
the car but leave the ignition switched on in
position 2 and reinsert the fuse. Whoopeee
I can now start and drive the car and the
central locking works too!
