Chealsea Gibb is a 1997 graduate
of the Western Australian
Academy of Performing Arts
with a Bachelor of arts in Music
Theatre. While at the academy
her roles included Emma
Goldman in Assassins, Phyllis
in Follies, Gia in Anthony
Crawley's Villian of Flowers,
Sara in the Mysteryof edwin
Drood and Nina in seagull.
In 1993 she received the ANA
award for Best Actress for her
role as Rebecca in Rags.
Chelsea came to the Australian
auditions for Chicago
where she was spotted by
Director, Walter Bobbie and
Choreographer, Ann Reinking
who both recognized that
she had the talent to play
the role of Roxie Hart.
Before rehearsals began,
Chelsea worked with
Ann in New York and also
was introduced to
London and New York productions.
Chelsea wishes to thank Ann Reinking and
Walter Bobbie for their encouragement,
support and inspiration. The role of Roxie Hart marks
her professional
debut, and is the youngest to ever play the role.
