D P Taylor is Mary Sunshine

Originally from Adelaide, D P graduated form the Elder Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree before moving to Queensland in 1989 and obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Opera Studies from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Commencing a professional career with the State Opera of South Australia and then Opera Queensland, D P went on to perform in several operas including Madame Butterfly, La traviata, Orfeo ed Euridice, Carmen, Paganini, Der Fliegende Holländer, La Bohème and II trovatore. Musical theatre credits include the recent Crusade - the concert at the Melbourne Concert Hall, Sweeney Todd for the Queensland Theatre Company, the original Australian casts of both The Phantom of the Opera and The Secret Garden, the South East Asian and Australian tour of Cats and Grease in Chiang Mai, Thailand, D P recently received a Mo Award nomination as Supporting Musical Theatre Performer of the year.

D P Taylor since leaving the Australian cast of Chicago: the musical has played the role of Mary Sunshine on London's West End.
