The Western Red Scorpionfish (Scorpaena sumptuosa ) is a southern Australian endemic. Like all scorpaenids, it has venemous fin-spines. Have encountered these fellows in the wild while wreck diving at Rockingham - they are exceedingly difficult to spot.
