1st July 2000 A special 300 mile excursion train from Birmingham Railway Museum. Diesel hauled from Birmingham Snow Hill via: Oxford, Southampton and Bournemouth to Poole, returning to Birmingham Steam Hauled from Poole by Merchant Navy class steam locomotive 35005 Canadian Pacific. This page also has some images of the coaching stock used on this railtour.

15th July 2000 West Country class 34016 Bodmin passed through Hamworthy on a `Round Trip' railtour starting from Alton running via: Southampton, Christchurch, Bournemouth, Poole, Hamworthy, Wareham and Wool to Weymouth, Returning via Yeovil and Salisbury to Alton. This railtour also had D6525 on the rear to provide haulage on the return journey from Weymouth to Alton.

27th Jan 2001 Railtour Cancelled due to sale of `CANADIAN PACIFIC' locomotive.
