Greet Arrivals

o Provide agendas & information sheets to parents.

o Inquire about allergies or other need-to-know info for each Scout

o Obtain/record commitment regarding host for next Den meeting.

Scouts Put-on Nametags & Play Game Until Meeting Starts

MEETING

Opening Ceremony 6:30-6:35pm

§ Assemble/Quiet Down (Wolf Ears)

§ Introduce Den Leader & Assistant Den Leader

§ Conduct Flag Ceremony (explain each step)

· Scouts stand; salute

· Denner brings in flag; places in stand

· Pledge of Allegiance (in unison)

Discuss the "Den Meeting" 6:35-6:45pm

§ Sit in semi-circle around the pretend campfire.

§ Record Attendance

§ Purpose/Rules of Meeting (Scouts help establish rules)

§ Explain & designate Denner / Assistant Denner

Project (Den Flag) 6:45-7:05pm

§ Kids assemble flag stand.

§ Kids design the flag using materials provided:

· Felt, Patches, etc.

· “WOLVES” /etc. letters: create & cut-out

Game 7:05-7:15pm

§ Hungry Hungry Anteaters

Review Bobcat Trail 7:15-7:25pm

§ Reassemble into semi-circle.

§ Discuss Tracks & how progress is recorded (the chart).

§ Review Bobcat Tracks:

· Cub Scout Promise

· Law of the Pack

· Webelos meaning & Arrow of Light

· Cub Scouts Sign, Handshake, & Motto

Closing Ceremony 7:25-7:30pm

§ Recite Cub Scout Promise (while giving Cub Scout sign)

§ Flag Ceremony (stand & salute as exits)

§ Living Circle - Akela yell

POST-MEETING

Snacks/Beverages

Record Bobcat Trail progress on master chart (for each Scout)
