This week the lesson will be about Leprechauns!

Leprechauns are part of the magical community and they helped the Charmed Ones in several battles with their own powers.

They live in their own realm which they reach by travelling with rainbows. The rainbows appear when they hold their shillelaghs (which is some kind of staff) and say the magic words "Go n-éirí an bóthar laet" which means "May the road of light rise".

The task of the leprechauns is to give out luck which can be good or bad depending on what the recipient makes out of it. To give luck to someone they have to hold a piece of gold and say the words " Sláinte is táinte" which means "Health and luck". They're tricksters but not at all evil.

As mentioned before the leprechauns appeared quite a few times in the show, the first time was in "Lucky Charmed" (season 5) where Seamus asked Paige for help to vanquish Saleel, a demon who was after the Leprechauns' gold to use it for himself. Other episodes featuring the leprechauns are "Oh My Goddess" (season 5), "Spin City" (season 6), "Repo Manor" (season 8) and "Gone With the Witches" (season 8).
