| Look at all the guns above. A lot of times they are called "super guns." They have an extremly fast rate of fire and supurb accuracy from consistancy with airflow. Many times you read in Action Pursuit Games magazine little "CO2 mails" that are usually sent in from players who have no idea in the world what they are doing or talking about. "My tippmann 98 can take out any angel. Angels suck!" You see that a lot these days. Most of those players have never acutally used a good gun like a Cocker, Matrix, Angel, ETC... If you are reading this and you have an entry level gun, I'm not making fun of you or talking down thinking I'm better, but just stating reality because most people can't handle it. Ask a player one day if you can use his angel or other super gun. Play with it. It gives you more confidence I bet. I know when I first got my cocker, I was nuts running around the field creating chaos and what not. I noticed I could hit things I shot at instead of one lucky longball. Why do you think tournament players all use expensive guns? Because they work well! When you spend 1000+ dollars on a gun, it's going to work great. They are all very consistant over the chrono, which provides accuracy. And most super guns are required to use nitro, reason being that it is cleaner, more consistant, and it works in all temperatures (as long as its not like 12 degrees outside). Super guns are easier on paint, they don't chop that badly as long as they are set up right, you can get them in sexy looking colors or milling jobs. Plus they are fun to show off and shoot fast. On my angel I can get 13 balls a second. Say someone is running. The best way to hit them is by putting a stream of paint in front of them, and letting them run through it. If you have a gun that can only hit 5 or 6, you have a worse chance of hitting that target than with a 10 or 12 balls a second. Super guns have shorter triggers, therefore its easier to snap shoot and get shots off when your in strange positions. Its easier to run while shooting. Having an expensive gun doesn't make you a super player. You need skill to back it up. But an Angel, Autococker, Impulse, Emag, Matrix, etc will make you more confident, and give you a higher ROF to enhance your game so you can take it to the next level. Give a pro a stock spyder and he wouldn't be able to shoot as fast, or hit what he wanted to hit. I hope I opened up some of those little CO2 mail writers minds so they know why people have super guns and why they aren't for people with any skill. Also, for sucky players who do have super guns, let them. Who cares? Let them sit in the back and dump paint, lets you conserve a bit more :) I hope you enjoyed reading this article.
