“…police have been notified by the personal manager of genius skater Akiyama Asuka following his failure to attend one of his skating practices, foul play has been suspected. ‘Tsunami’ Akiyama was one of the main contenders for the medal of the All-Japan Competition, and a hopeful for our first gold medal in the figure skating competition for the Winter Olympics. At the present, no ransom note has been found, however, speculation is that even if he does return in time for the All-Japan tomorrow, the events from this strange saga will effectively decrease all his chances. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police as soon as possible…”
Ami reached out for the remote control and turned off the television. The
news had covered his disappearance xtensively, yet they had not even linked
the disappearance to her. Secretly, she was glad that they didn’t, what
was there to say? Youmas had carried him off? No one would believe her.
She couldn’t tell a lie, but by not contacting the police, she wasn’t exactly
lying. There would be no ransom note, there would be no return… just like
her other friend… Kunki…
She
hadn’t thought about him for a while now, he had been missing for almost
5 years now. They had been friends since her birth (since he was 5 years
older than her), and when her mother had divorced and moved away when she
was 6, and met Asuka. They kept in contact by phone (since both families
were rich), but had not seen each other again. She hadn’t linked his disappearance
with the Negaverse before, but perhaps, he had been taken by them as well…
