Lady Takeuchi

Monday 11:30pm
She closed the door but continued to stand in the doorway, she could still feel his presence standing outside; his breathing rhythm resonated quite clearly to her ears though the silence.  Ami made no move to turn the lights on, it was amazing the way that one could think so much clearer without the distraction of visual images.  Seeing was only something that made use of extra brain cells, although sight was a beautiful gift, sometimes, like now, it was quite unnecessary.  She had to think, and think hard about what had happened today in this place, the problem was, she found that she couldn’t think, her mind was too full on the events of the moment to fully analyze them, subjectively and impartially.
Sighing when she realized that she could not think as she would have liked, she allowed her thoughts to drift to what she enjoyed doing. Rushing away from the door, she bounded to the arched window, taking care not to bump into furniture that she could just see the outline of. She loved looking at the Moon, the planet that she was fighting for, and where her past-life lain. However, from where she stood, she could only see freckles of while in the night sky, as though they were only holes poked through a black piece of paper; she could see no planetary existence at all that she could identify by size. She continued to stare, but her mind continued to wander to tonight, her host of the evening. It seemed to her that he was undoubtedly intelligent man, and gentle in many ways, yet she couldn’t quite figure out what it was that had made him denounce goodness for the Kuriverse, she could feel that he was not born to be here, but how he came, she was not sure.  She could see the raw intelligence and a different world of experience inside him, although at the same time, naivety and childlike confusion.  There was something strange about him that made her want to understand more about his world, and empathize his life… merely out of scientific curiosity of course, she assured herself.
Undressing slowly in the dark, she made her way to the bathroom for a quick shower before she would go to bed.  Soft white light bathed the room the moment her fingertips so commanded the switch - for one could not very well shower in complete darkness.

Dr Mizuno picked up a photo of her daughter, a photo of her in her skating gear, taken only what seemed like a few moments ago. Yet the agony of knowing that her daughter had been captured had made the moments seem like eternity. Quietly, she set the photo back in its spot, and sat down, her eyes, never straying from the spot that Ami usually sat at. Even though she knew that Ami would disappear today, part of her had been in denial, until her friends had come and told her. SailorPluto had been kind enough to inform her last night of her daughter’s identity, but not that of her friends. At first she hadn’t understood why her daughter had to be taken away, and SailorPluto had been so evasive as to not answer the question, but now, she knew why…

Tuesday 4:00pm
“Excuse me, I am here to look for a Chiba-san.”
    “Here?”
“Yes sir, I am delivering a package for Chiba-san.”
“I’m sorry, but there is no one under the name of Chiba-san living here. As you see, this is Hikawa Jinja, you must be mistaken.”
“I’m under orders to make sure that this package is hand delivered though.”
“What’s going on?”  The two men turned around to see Rei, climbing up the stairs as she got home from school. The first one smiled a greeting when he saw her, when he saw her though, no one really knew, since his hair was in the way. The second one looked at her in shock, that a maiden such as her would be here, and that she seemed to have some type of authority to the situation. She spoke again, “Yuuchuiro, I asked what was going on?”
The first man answered steadily, “Hino-san, this man has a package for a person who does not live here.”
The second one, in delivery uniform spoke up, “I was given instructions to deliver this package to a Chiba-san, at this address.”
“I told him we did not have someone of that name residing here.”
Rei held up a palm to signal for silence, “Chiba-san, Mamoru Chiba?”
    “Hai (Yes).”
    “Who gave you these instructions?”
    “A doctor, Miss.”
“Leave it to me, I will make sure that he receives it.”
    “Will you please sign here?”
She quickly signed the slip and took the package from the delivery boy’s hand. Turning, she walked straight into her room, half an hour to do her chores until the rest of the senshi arrived.
