Janosch is both an author of many beautiful books (mainly for children) and a painter. Among his most famous characters is 'der kleine Tiger und der kleine Bär' (Little Tiger and Little Bear), Little Tiger's toy 'Tigerente' (Tiger Duck) and 'der große dicke Waldbär' (Big Fat Forest Bear).

Now there is also a huge variety of goods designed by Janosch on sale, everything from wooden Tiger Ducks to Bikes. They're quite expensive, but sooo cute - and authentic: As if they had just popped out of one of Janosch's paintings. And you can buy more and more Janosch stuff online:

Janosch's stories are cool because

• they are phantastic, colorful and weird
• rooms are always decorated with lots of strange and unusable items
• the story follows only its own particular logic. You can never predict how a Janosch story will end.
• the characters never behave pedagogically correct. No hidden manipulation of the young readers. The characters have their own life, don't try to be friends of or examples for the kids.
