Massimo Cremona wins the 2002 Christmas Cup (December 2002)

Former Malta champion Massimo Cremona managed to retain the Christmas Cup he won last season by beating Stefan Pace in a shout-out in the semi-finals and then he went on to win the Cup by beating promising young player Ilai Zammit Marmara' 2-1 in sudden death.

 

HTFC Acquires New Premises (February 2003)

Following a proposal by Mario Camilleri we have managed to acquire new premises in Birkirkara. Thanks to the help offered by the members the move from St Julians to Birkirkara was conducted in a short time without affecting the league fixtures programme. The premises are exclusively for HTFC use and are completely run and maintained by the HTFC committee.

 

Increase in HTFC Membership (February 2003)

Our acquisition of the new premises has brought an increase in the number of members as Mario Camilleri, Mark Zammit, Owen Caruana, William Bland, Pierre Sciberras and Natalino Tanti joined us after several years of inactivity. The club presently has 13 members.

 

Stefan Pace leading HTFC Premier League 2002-2003 (March 2003)

Following the completion of the first round of the Hamrun Table Football Club Premier League, the current Maltese champion Stefan Pace is leading with five points ahead of Alan Azzopardi. Closing by we find an interesting contest being developed for the top places as Patrick Pace, Mario Camilleri, Ilai Zammit and Frank Chetcuti all stand a good chance to win the honours.

 

HTFC Easter Cup (March 2003)

This year we have organised the first Easter Cup. The competition was played in a different format as it was held on a team-basis as preparation for the MTFSA clubs league which will be organised in May. The team composed of Stefan Pace, Ilai Zammit and Owen Caruana won the event.

 

HTFC acquires new sponsorships (April 2003)

The HTFC vice president and OIC Sponsorships Natalino Tanti has managed to conclude some very good sponsorship deals for the club as Mr Emmanuel Aquilina of Techniplast Ltd has agreed to sponsor the HTFC Premier League while Mr Mario Zammit of Uniplast Ltd has sponsored our Easter Cup. We thank the above sponsors for their contribution towards the club.

 

Massimo Cremona wins HTFC Challenge Cup 2002 (April 2003)

Congratulations go to Massimo Cremona who has won the HTFC Challenge Cup 2002 after beating Stefan Pace 2-1 in sudden death. The match had ended in a 1-1 draw, with Massimo obtaining the equaliser 6 seconds from time.

 

Stefan Pace is the new HTFC Champion (May 2003)

Stefan Pace has dominated the HTFC Premier League to become the HTFC champion for the season 2002-2003 with three matches remaining for the end of the season. A tough battle though is still on for the second and third places as Ilai Zammit, Alan Azzopardi, Patrick Pace and Mario Camilleri all stand a chance.
