Our thanks to all the parents who have volunteered and
supported us through these years to help the Paaralang
Pilipino. It is their desire to keep our history, culture, customsand traditions that we are here. We invite our friends to visit and be informed about us.

Philosophy:

Recognizing the fact that we are Filipinos and would like our future generation to learn and understand our Philippine Heritage, the primary responsibility of the Paaralang Pilipino is to provide the opportunity to achieve optimal success. Learning should occur in a high interest, low anxiety or stress environment in communication and language experiences. The process of language acquisition should occur at the student's individual learning rate, independent of grade level. Parent's support is encouraged but not required.

Curriculum Goals of the Paaralang Pilipino:
I. To develop the listening skills for comprehending Pilipino conversation.

II. To develop Pilipino speaking skills in conversation.

III. To develop the ability to read Pilipino for a variety of purpose

  • a) information
  • b) pleasure
  • c) sense of belonging

IV. To deveop the ability to write Pilipino with unity, comprehension, coherence and appropriate structures with confidence.

V. To develop understanding and appreciation of the cultural heritage and to maintain a growing appreciation of their own culture and values.

VI. To develop the ability to participate, socialize and foster an art of understanding of basic concept of Philippine history, customs and traditions.

VII. To develop self-esteem and self-confidence and be a proud member of growing Filipino American community here in the USA, our home away from home.
