This is an itinerary from a previous year's campout to give you an example of the events of the weekend.
We have some big plans so come early! Here's the itinerary that we just worked
out.
Friday night
Allow at least an hour before dark if you plan to stay so you can setup in
daylight.
There will be a sign in/out sheet at the pavilion.
Eat before you come or bring your own dinner picnic.
We will be painting the cub-o-matic and Julie is planning some fun stuff.
Re-enactors will be joining us Friday night through Saturday evening.
9:30 We will be having a "Cracker Barrel" for adults.
Saturday
8:00 Breakfast
We will help setup and
cleanup.
9:00 Opening Ceremony
9:15 Volleyball instruction and learn how to set up your courts. Boys
will be divided into 2 groups. One will get instructions first in pavilion
with Deb and the other will set up their court first with Kurt and Larry.
12:00 Lunch by Den
This is a great
time to show our parents the foil packs. I will bring some fillers.
I have a new
foil pack you can try with a banana and chocolate. Yum!
1:00 Geography pin/beltloop activity in the pavilion.
3:30-5:00 Free time
This would be an excellent time for everyone to talk with the re-enacters.
Scavenger hunts can also be organized during this time.
Fishing is allowed in the creek but please do NOT fish in the pond.
5:00-5:30 Dinner setup (organized by Wolf dens but anyone can help)
5:30 Dinner in uniform
Dessert following dinner.
Move into award ceremony after dessert.
8:00 Bonfire
We can do skits, stories or
songs.
We will be making donuts and
you can roast marshmallows.
If you want donuts bring some biscuits.
I'm sure the re-enactors will
have lots to tell us.
Sunday
Break camp and make sure the park is cleaned up. Please pitch in and
help out.
Some last minute fishing could be done.
Here are some things you need to bring:
1 gallon of water per family
a salad or a dessert for Saturday's dinner
Your own lunch for Saturday and breakfast for Sunday.
I will bring stuff for foil packs and we will eat together
but bring your favorite lunch.
Biscuits or marshmallows.
Banana, chocolate bar, marshmallows if you want a banana foil
pack.
You may contribute some firewood to the bonfire pile.
And of course your books and uniforms!
