Before earning your Bear badge you must first complete all the requirements of the Bobcat.

Bear Achievements for DEN 5:

One of our main fundamentals we will learn as Bears is how to tie knots. We have found a great animated link to help the boys master these: http://www.mistral.co.uk/42brghtn/knots/42ktmenu.html. You never know when you might be asked to make a knot or need rope in class so always be prepared and bring your ropes.

Our Family Tree - This link will provide you a chart to use in tracing your family tree.

Duty to God & Country - Achievements 1 through 7 are about God & Country. This link provides a great insight on how religion relates to Scouting and give you great ideas for your God & Country Achievements.

Bear Electives - In addition to the Bear Badge, there are also electives that allow the boys to earn Gold and Silver arrow points. Completing ten electives will earn one Gold arrow. This link provides the requirements for the bear electives. After your first gold arrow the boys can receive as many silver arrows as they wish until they advance to the WeBeLos.
