Scout-O-Rama 1999

This year, the theme for the Grand Canyon Council Scout-O-Rama was Go for the Gold ! We were celebrating 50 years of Scout-O-Rama. In sticking with the theme, our Pack had a Go for the Gold theme, revolving around different types of sporting competitions around the world. Check out the different activities we had, and some of the awards that we won.

Our Tigers had the Olympic Ring bean bag toss.

The Wolves had a "gymnastic" competition. Not only did they have a LOT of fun, but every wolf that visited their booth completed the first Wolf requirement.

The Bears had a Roman Wrestling booth. Like the Wolves, they had a LOT of fun, AND helped other Bears complete a requirement.

The Webelos sponsored the Scottish Highland Games (or their version of it!) with the catapults that they made as part of their Engineer requirement. One of the dads REALLY got into the spirit by wearing his kilt.

We won several awards for our participation.

Starting from left to right:
White - Council Ranger's Award - 3rd Place
Red - Crowd Pleaser
White - Unit Pride
Purple - Participation
Orange - Spark Plug
Aqua - Good Turn

These awards are VERY special to our Unit, because the boys worked so hard to earn them. Congratulations to each and every one of you.
