Tigers at Camp

School Night

This week was school night, where the first graders of St. Mark Catholic Church in Chalmette, LA met and signed up for the Tiger Cubs. Several parents were present as was Scout District Executive Jon Charles.

Miss Bonnie agreed to be the Den Leader and the first meeting was subsequently planned for Saturday the 6th at her house.

Saturday, the 6th

All the boys were present. The meeting started with the Tiger Cub Promise and the boys joined by thumbs in a circle. They then made paper airplanes and, afterwards, flew them in an empty adjacent lot. Each Tiger was given a Tiger Cub Handbook as a gift from Miss Bonnie. Cookies and drink were then consumed and the meeting adjourned. The kids decided to go to Jackson Barracks if the last Saturday of the month was available.

Saturday, the 20th

The picnic began a little after ten in the morning. Our boys arrived late, except for Frankie and his dad. After a little running around, the kids ended up the day making paper airplanes for a competition they wouldn't enter. Seeing that they were tired, the boys exited early satisfied with their fun and frolicking for the day.
