You know, I agree with you about how lame Days is, however I do have
a problem with you putting down anyone who tries to go against your
views. That's ignorant. There's such a thing called Freedom of Speech
in this country...everyone has a right to say what they think. You
shouldn't be ostracizing them because they happen to enjoy Days.
That's their choice. You seem to pride yourself on your so-called
"intelligence", but I certainly can't see any evidence of intellect
when you start insulting people with comments such as: "You are the
farthest thing from a fan of Days and it's too bad every store was
out of birth control when you were conceived." Don't stoop to the low
level of the people who insult you. Be the bigger person.

Days is going down the toilet. The writers better think long and hard
before they let Christie Clark (Carrie) sing again. The truth is I
never laughed so hard when I heard her singing "Crush" on today's
show, but she sucks. It was even more gay when Mik started singing in
too. The girl who plays Taylor sucks. A bunch of my friends and I
were watching Days one day, friends that had never seen the show
before, and they were wondering what the casting directors were on
when they hired her. This whole Gi a/Hope thing better die quick. And
Hope, "Get rid of those fucken blond streaks!"

is there any way to let NBC know how retarded Days has become? when i
started college all the students scheduled classes around the show.
now i dont bother because if i miss it for a semester the plot hasnt
developed at all when i see it again. remember when marlana was
posessed by satan? that took like three years to resolve. I went to
the NBC website to tell them how much I hate the actor who plays
Roman. His voice grates on my nerves so bad that i have to change the
channel. he sounds like huckleb rry hound. its bad enough that the
plot sucks and the actors are getting uglier, but now i cant even
stand to have it on in the background. you should send NBC a link to
your site. I love it.

I have been watching Days for 9 years and I am so sick and tired of
watching the same thing over and over. Their storylines (which are
incredibly STUPID: Vivian's tooth device. What the fuck is that all
about?) are everlasting. What happened to the old D ys, when the plot
was full of suspense and when one was unable to tell what would
happen at th end. Today, I can figure out the ending before the
storyline even begins. Remember when Carly was burried alive or when
Stephano kidnapped Marlena and kept her n the underground cities of
Paris. Those were plots with full of imagination and creativity.
Todays' Gina/hope and Ali/Mike/Carrie/Austin (may I add any more?)
storylines SUCK AND ARE JUST SOOOO RETARDED. I am sure my little
cousin can come up with bette ideas. How many times did Austin escape
from the police when he was helping Sami? Come on, not even the
world's best fugitive can do that. Or for how much longer is Nikki
going to hide her fucken past. Days needs to spice things up quickly,
because they re losing a lot of viewers and I don't want that to
happen. For crying out loud, they lost a great opportunity when they
did not bring back Eileen Davidson and lost her to Y&R. I can assure
you that if Days loses the idiotic storylines and the just plain
tupid characters it will do much better in the future.

I recently was looking at some old tapes and found some scenes with
the original Austin. What a difference. I can honestly say that I
have never seen a dumber person than the present Austin. Should he
have his adenoids removed....surely that must be t e reason his mouth
is constantly hanging open. I too remember the "good old days" of
Days. It is sad to see what has happened to it. It used to be a fast
paced, well acted show. Now it could be used as a sedative. I keep
hoping the writers will chang , the casting director will change
SOMETHING WILL CHANGE but I've about given up.

so we could watch Days. These days neither one of us can stand it. I
started getting sick with it when Marlena was "Posessed". What kind
of crap is that? From there it has just gotten w rse. I totally agree

I love this web page! I once loved Days and I was hooked on the show
for years, but now the show makes me embarrassed for the writers and
the cast. Will Marlena ever stop crying, will John ever get to the
bottom of his past and stop talking to himself, ill Billy continue to
be recast, will Austin ever learn to act (good boy for memorizing his
lines?, will Stefano ever get that ridiculous sounding accent down,
will the writers come up with something better than Stefano
implanting Gina's memories in Hope' brain (that is the worst
storyline ever..it's totally impossible and just down right obsurd),
will Bo ever stop calling Hope Fancy Face? If any of this crap
changes, please someone let me know and maybe I will tune in every
now and then.

I completely agree with you. I have been a fan since the early 80's,
so I feel that I have invested too much time into this ridiculous
show to quit now. To begin with, Salem has the most awful police
force known to man, considering how much they must ge paid. How many
times has Bo and Roman flown around recently? And Austin, he must be
the most pathetic character ever created, no wonder he's friends with
Eric, that sappy idiot. Why doesn't Craig just go somewhere else to
be C.O.S? I can't beleive Sha n D. hasn't been killed off yet. And
what about how mad Austin is at Carrie? Please! "Sami and Will are my
only concern." Those writers must think we are all stupid,
uneducated, and only in it for the hairstyles because NO ONE on that

Everything you said on your site is exactly what I've been wanting to
say for years. I've watch DOOL since I was a kid, in the 70's. The
stories were so good back then and into the early 80's. Now they are
terrible. I can't believe the writers actually thing it's good. It's
the SAME thing over and over. I can't even stand to watch it anymore.
If I missed it for 3 months and tuned in I would see the same
conversations going on, about the same stupid story lines that last 3
years or so. How long are we going to see Craig & Nancy plotting
against Mike? or Sami wanting Austin? or Carrie flirting with Mike?
These stories drag on way TOO LONG and then nobody even cares
anymore. They need to dig out their old episodes from the 70's &
80's and take notes. W at is up with Carrie's hair? It used to be
pretty. OR Ausin's annoying egotistical attitude? They definatly need
new characters and story lines that last a couple of weeks instead of
a couple of years!!!

Excellent site! It is so good to know that there are MANY others out
there who feel the same as I do. What has become of DOOL? All I can
say is that this show is nothing like it used to be. There used to be
constant stories of REAL romance and adventu e. The triangle
storylines are getting REALLY old and annoying. The constant keeping
apart of couples is nerve wracking and mostly the characters are no
longer recognizable. I cannot even remember the last time I watched
an entire episode and actually njoyed what I was watching. I held out
for almost a year after SSM took over and had yet to see any
improvement so I totally tuned out. I feel that the only way TIIC
will change anything is if viewers tune out. It was hard at first
(just because it was a habit to record and watch daily) but I have
been tuned out for almost 9 months now and don't miss it. I keep up
via Spoilers and thru the discussion group. Lately, I even find
myself zipping over part of the spoilers (ie. Austin, Gope, and
anything wi h RoChris). Anyway, just wanted to tell you that your
site is GREAT!

damn! this site is brilliant! i grew up watching days,(my mom was a
fan) and i am so disgusted that really now, i read spoilers/summaries
on line about once a week. your point is something i used to rave
about regularly until i just gave up and realized the show is crap.
my favorite gripe is the inconsistancies: i don't remember hope/bo or
mike/carrie knowing each other as children....i thought that with the
whole tony/renee plotline back in the 80's that we learned that tony
wasn't stephano's biological son...how many ki s does stephano have,
anyway? how many people have come back from the dead, and how can
these people in this wretched town attend any funeral whatsoever
(including our dear, beloved dr. tom horton) without demanding to see
the body, check the fingerprints and dental records, and remove the
viscera, themselves, by hand? and even then....it could be an evil
twin...or a long lost triplet....of a cyborg....or a ghost wearing a
tablecloth.... or a clone....or, oh, and here's clever, original
writing for you...an amnesiac! in short: hate days. love the

I believe that the people writing for Days of our Lives are idiots.
And, they seem to think we must all be idiots too. The
inconsistencies in this show are unbelievable. What kind of a message
does it send when all of the bad people on the show always in. They
may eventually lose, but by the time they do you don't care any more.
I am so tired of Bo and Hope, Bo and Billie, and now it is going to
be Bo and Greta. The writing on this show is the most unbelievable
crap I have ever watched. They have n t had an innovative story line
in years and years. I think the program started to go south when
Susan Seaforth and Bill Hayes left the show. At that point, it got
absolutely ridiculous. They drag the story lines out forever.
Personally, I hope Sammi g ts the chair or whatever, Austin
disappears (what a wimp), Kate and Vivian are locked in the same
cell, Mike and Carrie get together (of course, they won't because
they are going to become the new Bo/Hope/Billie, Marlena/John/Roman)
-- same sad old story ine. And what is with this Nancy (the pig
woman)character. You would have to be an imbicle to believe that she
is married to that Craig guy. What amazes me the most is how these
actors can have any self respect when the story lines are such
drivel. I c rtainly do not watch DOL every day and if it goes away --
no big deal. A very long time ago, it was a good show. Unfortunately,
I can barely remember when that was.

God! That awful Taylor is back. I thought she was off for awhile to
get some acting lessons but as I could tell from watching today she
proved me wrong. I've been watching this soap for 14 years but it's
just getting out of hand. And why are there so m ny people in the
hospital! I swear I saw the same intern/nurse guy in the background
just making circles. They never do anything but stack files. And that
Craig, what's he looking at the chief of Staff job for? I think the
requirement is that they actu lly have to work. And of course Mike
isn't doing that either. Nobody has a real job. I don't recall Sami
and Eric ever getting a college education and yet they have these top
executive positions. Oh yeah, that's right Sami blackmailed kate for
hers, b t what about Eric? Where did he get his photography
expertise? The highlight of this show, even though it was an obsurd
storyline, was when Carly was buried alive. At least it kept you on
the edge of your seat!

I have watched Days since the 1960's. It used to be a great show but
I totally agree with you about the lack of good writing. It also
infuriates me that the present stories totally discount story lines
of several years ago or even longer (like Mike and arrie - isn't he a
little old for her?). Also, I hate the way they start a new story
line and then drop it (like, what happened to Wendy and Jonah and why
was she afraid of the father of her child? What happened with the
jewels Stefano left Lexie?). Da s must have gotten some new blood
lately, however, because at least the story lines that literally
dragged on for years seem to have disappeared. Thank God! But they
still write stupid stuff (like why would Hope say she was going on a
long trip with Bo f Lily just came halfway around the world to visit
her? Why does Austin keep saying he made a vow to keep Sami safe and
he's going to keep it, when he also made a marriage vow to Carrie to
"forsake all others?") I've been watching too long to quit now. I
just hope it goes back to being the great show it used to be.

I think that they need to take Days of Our Lives off the air. That is
because, you have Austin and Carrie who are married. Yet she is in
love with Mike Horton. Then on top of all that, she kissed him, not
only once, but twice. Plus for the fact she ha grown closer to him
and has feelings for him. Carrie keeps denying that she is in love
with Mike, but she is. I mean if she was in love with him, then why
the hell did she marry Austin. Austin found Mike and Carrie kissing.
I hope that he leaves her a d finds someone better for him. Someone
who will love him for him and never hurt him the way that Carrie is.
Austin she confront her and ask her to choose between him and Mike. I
think Sami would be better for him. After all she loves and would
never urt him. And if she won't choose then he should just say then,
I am leaving you until you can sort out your feelings for both me and
Mike. But unitl then do not and I mean do not come near me or even
try to talk to me. After all you kissed Mike and we re married. I
thought you loved me and would honor your vows to me. I have been

I've been watching Days with my Mom since I was a kid. I used to love
it, but now I watch it to bash all the characters. This Bo,
Hope-princess whatever, storyline sucks s..t! And whats with the
satellite? The chip in Vivians tooth and the remote control evice? If
Dr. Rolph is this smart, he would make a sattelite for the police to
track down Sami, Stefano would like that; he hates the Bradys, and
maybe then, he would be able to buy Dr. Rolph a house (considering he
lives in the re-transformed room that K isten made for Susan).
Carrie, Mike and Austin need to get hit by a Mack truck. Nicole and
Eric (MR. Goody, Goody) need to go back form where they came from!
Lucas thinks he's the hottest male to walk the earth, by flaunting
his riches. AND what the hell ver happened to holy Taylor? Last I've
heard of her she went to get the car for Lucas, did she finally
realize what hell she's gotten herself into and run off somewhere?
Why does everyone have a cell phone? It takes less than one minute to
get to where th t perosn is anyways. How does everyone have so much
money when I never see anyone working? Marlena is some big shot
psychiatrist, but has no patients. If Carrie doesn't get hit by a
truck, I would really like to see Ally stalk Carrie, give her a few
good beatings. Why is Will always taking naps? If he's not sleeping,
he's drawing a picture, which looks like it was drawn from a 10 yr.
old all the time. Not to be rude or anything, but the writers should
really try and consider the facts about Mrs. Horton, I love her and
all, but she looks like she is acting on her last string, the poor
lady has cataracts and cannot walk. Are they trying to keep her until
she dies (for real), it could take years, by then she'll be sitting
on the couch in a coma! What about Ph llip? Last I've heard of him,
he was brought upstairs by the nanny and disappeared ever since.

conclusion that they are using the same writers as they started out
with and that they are all now suffering from old age, old ideas and
severe dementia. Why can't they ever get away f om the 'She loves
another guy but I'm going to pursue her anyway' theme? They need
fresh, energized and creative writers who will give this show the
boost that it desperately needs. The DOOL actors are a bunch of
talented people (well, most of them) who are probably bored out of
their minds with having to say the same lines over and over and over
week in and week out. Watch "General Hospital" to see what a
difference good writing makes!

I have never in my life seen a more detailed, intelligent, or

Lives. I admire the brilliant, sarcastic way you express your opinion
without coming across uninformed or petty. As of today, an reading
through your page, I am a Former Days Addict. For years, my boyfriend
has been telling me that Days is a ridiculous, pointless waste of my
time, but it took the logic and reason of your page to make me see
the light. I feel like such a moron! Day is the only soap I have ever
watched an entire episode of, and it never occurred to me for one
second that they all aren't completely unrealistic, repetitive and
insulting to my intelligence. For several weeks now I've been
wondering just how it is that ope is Gretta's mother, trusting all
this time that there was a perfectly good explanation. Now I know

I'm 17 and have been watching Day's since I was 4 or 5 with my mom.
My mom has stopped watching the show b/c of the stories, but I'm
still a faithful watcher. I agree w/the what you say about the story
lines. I think that the stories have great potenta , but are gragged
on and sometimes people change overnight. I used to not go a day w/o
watching Day's, but I'm starting to watch it less and less. It seems
that I can go a coulpe of days w/o watching it and not miss a thing.

I am a uk resident and I started watching DOOL a year ago, and I
really got into it, however we are over two years behind in the story
line. I was pretty upset when sky TV said they weren't showing the
series any more due to 'contractual limitations' so t e last one I

sister and I were reminising about DOOL. We have been watching about
20 years. We started watching at ages 14 and 17. Now we have aged

is the fascination about chowder? Is it the answer to all life's

One thing I hate about Days is Kate. I just want to take her outside
and beat her with a stick. At least three times each show, her and
Lucas get into a discussion about Sami "getting what she deserves."
How many times is Lucas ALMOST going to reveal th t he shot Franco,
only to have Kate come to his rescue at the last second? Is it not
obvious that Sami didn't kill Franco? If Salem were in the real
world, they would have been able to tell that Sami hadn't fired a gun
that day. There were no eye witne ses, therefore, all of the evidence
is circumstancial. I am sick of seeing Sami cry and talk about how
she can't go to jail and never see her son again...boo hoo hoo! And
how in the HELL did that bitch Nancy get on the jury? HELLO!?! she
works at the h spital that Sami used to work at and that her sister
works at. And her calling Craig in the middle of the trial--how
stupid is that? They could get a new trial simply on that fact!
Another thing - the defendant's father is the investigating officer?

My sister introduced me to Days. I watch it on a kind of frequent
basis. Mostly I sit there b*tching about the lame characters and
plots. How can anyone make stalking romantic? Thats exactly what "A
Knight of Days" Bo was doing to Hope. Bo is supposed to be a hero,
yet he's a disgusting character in his treatment with Billy. When he
was married to her, and telling her he loved her, he wa stalking
Hope. John is pathetic too. How's he a hero? He just keeps on
harrasing Stefano, and constantly giving that stupid cowboy look.
Marlena's character has no use on this show. She does barely anything
but moralize about God and family with ev ryone. Austin needs to be
killed off...along with Roman. Sami needs to be convicted. Maybe the
show needs to be killed off. The only story line I like is the
Carrie/Mike relationship. The writers don't seem to have much faith
in the intelligence of the viewing audience. Perhaps their right
though, considering how popular the show is.

This would be so much sweeter if this was being sent directly to the
pinhead writers of Days, but as an alternative it will have to do. I
started re-watching this drawn out drivel while recovering from an
operation. By re-watching I mean that this was my randmother's
favorite soap when she was alive and she 'forced' us to sit through
each and every afternoon without fail. I'm not quite sure what the
writers are trying to accomplish but they certainly have made every
effort possible to try as many convoluted, contrived, assinine and
pointless plots and sub-plots as a means of proving that they
probably should have chosen a ifferent vocation. Firstly - get rid og
that blowhard Stefano. This goof has all the villiany of Boris
Badinoff (without Natasha or Rocky & Bullwinkle). And what's with
this super secret "Gina" satellite? It reminds me of that old serial
with the superhero whose flying gizm said "Up" & "Down". Let's
get real here (or at least reasonably sane). Who gives a rat's hiney
if Bo & Hope "are ment to be together"? They are two of the most
boring characters in the place. Send them off in search of Hope's
pass & lose them there. Next, Marlena & John. For a couple of
bozos who are always talking about how important family is, they seem
to spend a heck of a lot of time away from their kids. And then whine
about how much they miss them, only to spend a total of 5 seconds
with them o their return, only to quickly shuffle them off to the
park (or wherever) with the nanny. Austin has all the personality of
a dishrag and is a naive as a Iowa farmgirl if he thinks Sammi is
anything but a manipulative, backstabbing, villianess in need of a
forced march to Jenny Craig's a.s.a.p. Let Sammi go down the tubes
for the Franco murder. That whole thing with Kate setting her up
after Lucas waxed him was a fallback to the good old days when bad
things happened to bad people. Now they'll probably screw it up by
having the jury find her not guilty, or coming back with a lesser
charge or something that will keep her out of jail. F.Y.I. writers -
have her convicted and let her squirm for a few years. The prison
food will do her g od. As for the new Roman - his acting sucks, just
like it did on the Hogan Family and his guest bit on Beverly Hills.
What cop in his right mind would let anyone (even his own kid) get
away with pulling a gun on two people after she's been charged with
murdering her fiance with a gun. Uh, hello "Earth to Roman", maybe
she really did do it, whatta you think? I was glad to see that Victor
has been resurrected from his coma (for how long remains to be seen).
Surely to God there are some better writers sitting around than these
hacks. Even the fans could do a better job than this. It is pathetic
that these talentless, unimaginative, barren, braindead illiterates
are given free rein to pollute the airwaves with this crap on a daily
basis, with apparent impunity. Something must be done before they do
something really terrible - like bring back the bayou hillbillies
(what the hell were they thinking) in a spinoff that they'll probably
call "Like Crap Through a Goose" ...

I am really disappointed in the Days storylines of the last "decade."
I grew up with the show; I still remember watching the "original"
Hortons (Mickey, Bill, Marie, etc.) with my mom every afternoon. Days
is the only soap that I would watch. I agree w th the majority. I
DON'T watch regularly anymore because I think the storylines lately
are extremely lame. It's just not any good anymore. What happened? I
know, new writers and all. But I don't even care for the new actors.
I think the new "Jennife " is an airhead--Melissa Reeves was a sharp

Yes, yes, yes. DOL is totally stupid, especially in the last 6
months. The only thing that held the show together up until last
spring was Eileen Davidson and her Kristen, Susan, Sister character
antics. At least it put some humor in to the show! I am so tired of
Stefano and his so called "evil." Move on! Stefano is not the least
bit evil or intimidating! He's a big bore. DOL needs a new villan.
And, everybody get over finding your past, already. WE DO NOT CARE
that Hope, and John cannot remember t eir past. I dread months of
Hope living as Princess Gina. I do not care anymore if Hope and Bo
get back together, or if John and Marlena ever utter another stupid
repetitive word. Since when has Marlena ever been mistrustful of

Vapid pretty much sums up the current writing on Days. I first became
addicted when an illness (not as serious as the *mental* illness some
of these "loyal fans* seem to suffer from - are these the same people
who thought Striptease was a really g od movie?) kept me home
from school, and I would watch this show with my mom. I was drawn in
by Steve and Kayla, and the sequences were more fast paced then. Now,
I could watch one show every five years and be completely caught up
with all of the characte s and plot lines (if you can bear to refer
to them as "plot lines"). I've never watched any other soap, with the
exception of a brief term of Another World (only because it used to
be on right after Days), and I don't miss watching Days a bit. Maybe
if th y fire all of their writers and the production staff and start
from scratch, they'll be able to salvage some sense of what Days was
originally. Otherwise, Days has permanently sunk lower than "Saved by
the Bell" and "Baywatch". Yuck.

I have watched this show aor most of my life and am so disappointed
at its present state that I now tape it so I can chose to fast
forward and glance through to see if it has "anything" worth my time.
I have felt this way for the last couple of years and after all this
time,I am finally going to speak out. Days is old, tired and used up.
they continue to recycle people and plots which should have long
since been retired. Lets start with the ever popular Alfonso and
Reckell. They were both boring and bored when they each departed the
soap years back. Robert KK breathe some life back into the character,
for a while, then it was back to business as usual----Stepford
husbands and boyfriends, damsels in distress, and everybody's
mind-controled, manipulated, kidnapped or otherwise victimized by the
horribly ever-present "Stephano". Now it's Stephano's turn. Get rid
of him, this time for good. And please, let "his" body be found, lest
there should be a hundreth resurrection. What happened to the other
villans in Salem? Stories were best when Lawrence, Victor, and Vivian
were up to their scheming best. I even remember the two Horton
brothers vying for Dr. Laura and a very young and devious Julie
(Hope's stepmom, for those who don't have as long a history with this
soap), even Lighthearted Eugene and Calliope managed to get involved
in mischief from time to time. All this is to say that the show used
to be multi-dimensional with a variety of focus. Now its all Stephano
and bad acting. Maybe the writers should be sentenced to watch The
Young and the Restless for a month, so as to see how it's done--using
"believable" characters and situations and story lines which close
before you get bored. I feel that Days has become more sci/fi than
soap and someone had better start lifesaving procedures.

get so tired and irritated at the daily repetitions by the characters
of the plot line. We know what they are going to do, they don't have
to insult my intelligence and tell me each time I'm also tired of the

Sammi her due. Give Austin a personality, intelligence and support
for Carrie. Get Kate's secret past uncovered. That secret has got to

I just wanted you to know that I agree with everything you say. I
love Days, I've been watching since the '70s, but lately its gotten
so bad. I keep watching though not quite as often hoping things will
change. I think alot of the people who write in with insults are
most-likey new viewers maybe from a couple years back. If they
watched as long as some of us out here,' the would know what we mean
, when we say the show has gone down hill. I am confused about the
whole Sammi thing, are we supposed to like her now or feel sorry for
her ? After all she has done,her family forgives her...but if any one

Given the events over the past couple of days, most of you probably
know now if you didn't know before, who I am. I used to run the Titan
Discussion Board and the UNOFFICIAL Joseph Mascolo website. But
that's all history now. I stuck with Days for 12 year , but finally
even I had to let go and quit dreaming/hoping that the show I had
come to so love would one day magically reappear and delight and
entertain me. Two years of lots of (fun) work putting together all
the components of the Titan Days Site went nto the great cyber trash
can. When I was talking to the Joseph Mascolo fan club President, she
asked me a question: "If all those [web/internet] people hate
Days so much, why don't they quit watching, get off the web?"
(Something to this effect, anyway.) I thought about that and here's
the answer I am going to send her: The answer is simple: it took a
long time for me and many others to "let go." We held out hope,
faith, that surely Ken and others would realize how absurd the show
had become, how horrible, and that they would change it, put it back
the way it was! A lot f people haven't been able to let go yet. They
still believe that that someday will come. I have decided that that
someday will never come. So these people convene on the internet to
commiserate together. Plus great friendships have developed on the
web, nd they come together daily to meet up at the one place that
introduced them, the Days web circuit. Something that Ken etc. may
not realize, too: the web has been largely responsible for keeping
people tuned in for as long as they did/still do. I have rea at least
a hundred posts saying if not for the net, they wouldn't watch
anymore, but they watch just so they can talk with their friends on
the net about the "stupid" show. Because the show is pretty meritless
anymore, all the web talk is basically negat ve. We can't be blamed
for that. Look to Sally for that responsibility. At least that's what
we all believe. Yeah, I miss my show. But I can't see any return to
THAT show anywhere in the future.

and read the spoilers on the other days. Since almost nothing ever
happens, it's easy to keep up this way. I really miss the way the
show used to be and I mainly watch now for comic r lief and to see

have watched for so long that I'm not sure I could quit. There were

Nice to be here. I used to be a huge fan of Days, but, now I've
become hip to the fact that you can stop watching for months and than
start again and the plots won't have moved forward at all. This show
doesn't move. Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment, still watch although
not as often as before. The Stefano/Rolf scenes are hilarious (I'm
not sure if they are meant to be). I don't know where to begin there
is so much to kvetch about. Roman (a/k/a Chris Kosecheck) is too laid
back. Why would he been investigating a crime that his daughter is
accused of. Would a doctor operate on his own daughter? Why does
Stefano continue his vendetta against the Bradys? It's plain silly.
Mind-controlling Vivian? Louise Sorel must be paid big bucks to play
this rivel. A talented performer like her reduced to this? Bo - Why
are all the women so enthralled by him? Three beautiful women. He's
not handsome and I find him boring. Austin - the dumbest person on
earth, if he loses Carrie he deserves it. Craig/Nan y are funny, but,
give them something interesting to play. I could go on all day, but,

regarding how the writers have ruined Stefano. Howev r, as a young

although, if they had some writers and an actor in Austin's role, it

I must say I totally agree with everything you say. I live in
Australia, so we are 3 years behind you and are viewing good
episodes, but I read the spoilers and summaries and all the fans
comments and there is only one word I can think of to describe all of
them, PATHETIC!! My favourite couple of all time are Bo and Billie
(playes by Robert and Lisa). There relationship was an example of
excellent writting and well thought out character development.
Unfortunately the pwers that be at days nowdays seem o want a Bo and
Hope pairing, even though in my opinion Kristian Alfonso couldn't act
her way out of paper bag. We have here approximately 2 months laft of
Bo and Billie and after their love story is over and Bo goes back to
the whinny, pathetic, hypocri ical, selfish woman Hope then I fully
intend to stop watching days, cause as far as I am concerned that is
when his character of Bo (Or Peter Rekell now should I say) loses all
his depth and character and becomes a shallow replica of the man he
was when h was with the true love of his life, Billie.

was silly to watch was during the Marlena possession. I didn't go
ranting and raving though. I just stopped watching and caught a
couple of episodes to judge for myself when Days turn d good again.

Days of our live continues to demonstrate the general degradation of
entertainment talent in America. Maybe I am to blame because I watch
this soap opera constantly hoping that the writers will one day come
up with better plots to a show that I loved to watch as a kid. Every
time I watch it, I get frustrated and more frustrated. Now, I have
turned to watching old reruns of Dallas which even in its last
episodes was a hundred times better than Days. The writers of Days
need to watch Dallas and get a clue. The characters had strong
development and the plot was intriguing. What about Days? Aren't soap
operas supposed to have beautiful people on it, flamboyant, handsome
and deliciously wicked characters. What does Days have? An old fat
stale villian, goofy, clumsy studs, stereotypical black roles and not
to mention a fat conniving woman married to a good looking man. You
better bet the good looking man won't be on days long. Days has
turned into a comedy with breathy actresses, shoulder acting
actresses,repetitive lines, tacky clothes and bad hairdos. Also, why
are all the women on the show ex-prostitutes and the guys cops or
bums. Oh well enough for now, Dallas is on.

storylines have made every single thing about that show stale. I also
agree with you on how sad it is that the show's ratings k ep it in
second place despite its stupidity. Shades of Jerry Springer?
