CREDO 2004 RETREAT AND TRAINING SCHEDULE

 

Please see below for the 2004 dates for FREE retreats offered by the Chaplains Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO).  CREDO is sponsored by the Chief of Naval Operations and offers free retreats for anyone with a valid military ID (active duty, retirees, reservists, and family members).  Led by Navy Chaplains, these retreats are truly wonderful opportunities to re-focus, get away from it all, and learn something about yourself.  Transportation is available.

Please spread the word about these great opportunities for military and their families.  There's still room in the February Personal Growth Retreat, so register today!  Marriage Enrichment Retreats fill up quickly, so don't wait to register - this is a great chance for couples who are just reunited after deployment to re-connect with one another.  For more information or to register, please contact:

1.  Personal Growth Retreats
Dates:
Thursday, 2/26/04 through Sunday, 2/29/04
Thursday, 4/29/04 through Sunday, 5/2/04
Thursday, 6/3/04 through Sunday, 6/6/04
Thursday, 7/29/04 through Sunday, 8/1/04
Thursday, 8/26/04 through Sunday, 8/29/04

All Personal Growth Retreats begin on Thursday at 4 p.m. and end on Sunday by 3 p.m.  They offer opportunities for individuals to understand themselves better, develop new perspectives on their personal relationships with families, friends, shipmates, the service, and the broader world.  Many participants have described this weekend experience as a "turning point" in their lives.  Retreats are held in beautiful Julian, free transportation is available, and accommodations are absolutely free!

2.  Spiritual Growth Retreats
Dates:
Friday, 3/19/04 through Sunday, 3/21/04
Friday, 7/23/04 through Sunday, 7/25/04

All Spiritual Growth Retreats begin on Friday evenings and end on Sunday with lunch.  Emphasize faith and focus on renewing hope and developing new spiritual resources.  This retreat is open to all faith groups and is non-denominational in nature.  Participants have said:  "the amount of support and total, unconditional love that I received gave me a new beginning to my life." Retreats are held in beautiful Julian, free transportation is available, and accommodations are absolutely free!

3.  Marriage Enrichment Retreats

Friday, 2/20/04 through Sunday, 2/22/04
Friday, 4/23/04 through Sunday, 4/25/04
Friday, 6/25/04 through Sunday, 6/27/04
Friday, 8/13/04 through Sunday, 8/15/04

Marriage Enrichment Retreats start on Friday evenings and end on Sunday with lunch.  They help couples discover ways to keep their marriages growing, and how to handle inevitable conflicts.  Participants become closer as couples by strengthening emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of their marriage.  Both spouses are encourage to attend a Personal Growth Retreat, but prior attendance is not required.  Retreats are held in a hotel, in beautiful Alpine, and accommodations are absolutely free!

The vision of the Chaplains Religious Enrichment Development Operation is to awaken Sea Service Personnel and their family members to the inherent personal and social strength available by living healthy, spiritual lives.  We accomplish our mission through the Personal and Spiritual Growth Retreats, Marriage Enrichment Retreats, Team Build Workshops, and other functions and retreats held throughout the year.  Please visit www.cnrsw.navy.mil/credo/index.htm for more information.
