The Mirage's induction into the PAF started in 1967. Mirage III is a high-speed, all weather, delta wing, long-range fighter-bombers & Mirage V is a ground attack aircraft derived from the Mirage III, which itself can also be employed in the interceptor role. The Mirage currently equips No. 5, No. 7, No. 8, No. 15, No. 22 (OCU), No. 25 and a CCS squardon. |

The F-7's induction into the PAF started in 1989. F-7P is the primary air defense fighter of the PAF. Derived from the MiG-21 model the F-7P embodies some 20 PAF specified changes .F-7 currently equips No. 2, No. 14, No. 17, No. 18 (OCU), No. 19 (OCU), No. 20, No. 23 and CCS squadrons of the PAF. |

The K-8 is a tandem-seat basic jet trainer which has been co-produced by Pakistan and China. It first flew in 1991 and are planned to replace the T-37sTotal order for the PAF may reach up to 75K-8 also successfully passed the armament test at PAF. Minhas and thus could also be armed with air-to-air missiles for the air-field defense. |

Having been in the service for 34 years, the last F-6 aircraft was officially phased out on March 27, 2002 at PAF Samungli,It was a twin-engine, supersonic, day fighter-interceptor with good maneuvering capability. The type was introduced in 1966 and about 180 were acquired out of which around 40 remained airworthy until 2002. |

The SD-10 is similar to the AIM-120. With a length 3.85m, diameter 20.3cm weight 180 kg the SD-10 is a bit longer, wider and heavier than the AIM-120. It has 4 rear-mounted control fins which are longer and more prominent than those of the AIM-120. Internally, the leading edge of the centre body fins is in line with the start of the missile's rocket motor. which is a variable-thrust sold rocket booster that offers 2 levels of motive power for different sections of the flight envelope. |
