This page is dedicated to the people that put hard work and effort into running the society. Hopefully this page will be updated every year with the newly elected officials listed along with their predecessors. This way we can plot back the execs through the history of the society.
The Founding Committee 2001-2002
President and founder: Claire Williams
Our first beloved leader. Claire put a lot of hard work into getting the society off the ground and keeping it running. Sadly this is her final year and so must retire from the committee. Our thanks and deepest gratitude for all her hard work and for giving us something to do on a wednesday afternoon.
Secretary: Andrew Gough
Andy has also worked very hard this year helping Claire and reminding everybody of meetings etc. He is the trusted keeper of the contact details of members and in charge of typing up all the minutes of important meetings.
Treasurer: Samantha Stevens
Sam is in charge of all our money and budgety things. Sam has a great deal of experience with societies and their running and she likes money. The perfect person for the position.
Social Secretary: Jana Kristensen
Jana is another founding member that put a lot of hard work into the founding of the society. She is heavily involved in the barefacts magazine and the unions bulletin boards. I'm also told she's quite handy with pointy weaponry too.
Webmaster: (un-official) Stuart Ellaway
Not officialy elected at the 1st AGM due to time restrictions. Unless usurped in some web bound coup will be elected at the EGM. Responsible for maintaining these pages and the message boards and all things webby.
The founding executive committee would also like to thank all the founding members for their hard work this year and for making the society a success. We just couldn't have done it without you all. We'd also like to thank all future members in advance for keeping our dream alive. Good luck to you all in all that you do.
2002-2003 (AGM elections (June 2002))
President: Andrew Gough
All hail the new president! Andy takes over from Claire as our fearless leader. It is his job to keep us all on the straight and narrow and to keep the society running smoothly through its first full year.
Secretary: Becky Sleath
Becky has returned to us from foreign soil where she enjoyed many kebabs and tinkering with foreign economics. (So when the Euro crashes we can blame her.) Becky has bravely taken up the challenge of chief notetaker, writer of the minutes and general keeper of paperwork.
Treasurer: Samantha Stevens
Sam is now in her second term as Magick and Pagan Society treasurer and this year she has a budget to spend. She is now happy and planning many shopping trips.
Ritual Coordinator: Phillippa Law
The fantastic Phil was elected into our newest exec position, 'ritual coordinator'. Phil is responsible for writing rituals that we all agree on and assigning roles to celebrants. Phil is very enthusiastic and full of cool and groovy ideas and fills this role superbly.
Webmaster: Stuart Ellaway
This year Stu is officially the webmaster. Yey! Stu can often be found cracking the web whip and trying to keep the webby items in order and up to date. (including writing passages about myself in the 3rd person.)
Yet again another great year for the society. The executive committee would like to thank all those that put in their hard work to making this year as succesful as our first.
2003-2004 (AGM elections (May 2003))
President: Stuart Ellaway
And so begins my tyrannical reign. Stu has taken up the office of president for the societies third year. (They offered me chairperson or president and they wouldn't let me take God Emperor.) It was decided that there be only 3 executive positions this year so I am still webmaster but president as well. Yey more work. Oh wait hang on. D'Oh
Secretary: Andrew Gough
Andy enjoyed his term as founding secretary so much he decided to have another crack at it. Handing over his presidency to Stu for a year he has taken up the role of 'the organised one' once again.
Treasurer: Samantha Stevens
Sam is now in her THIRD term as Magick and Pagan Society treasurer. Well she likes money what can I say?
