What you are making
Coming soon in PSP7, takes about 20 seconds:)
Scroll to bottom and see what else can be done
#1. Open new image 205x200 16 million, transparent
#2. Flood fill (C0C0C0 foreground
...E5DFDF background)
linear gradient ..foreground/background
270 / 17
#3. Image/Deformation/Perspective/-vertical 100% now copy, then shrink
#4. Open another new image 500/500 16 million/transparent
#5. Paste new layer .. place towards the top in the middle.
#6. Paste as new layer again .. go image/ rotate/ right free 54 ... place flush with the right side of the first one
#7. Open your layer pallet and right click on that layer, duplicate, then go image mirror and move it into place on the left side of the first one.
#8. Paste new layer, image rotate, free 108 .. place this one in place next to the last one you did on the right. Open layer, right click on the current layer, duplicate, image mirror and move into place next to the last one on the left. I know it looks funny but trust me:)
#9. Layers, merge merge visible
#10. This next one is kind of up to you because I can't see where you placed everything so I can not give you exact messurments.
What I want you to do is use your selection tool set to rectangle and starting at the left hand side of the screen as close to where the center of your fan is, draw your selection all the way across and down, hit delete. Deselect
Now use your selection tool set to circle and place your curser as close to the middle in the center of the bottom of your fan as you can get it. See where I have place a little black dot on this one?? That is where you need to start your circle.
Draw your circle straight down, keep watching the circle on the top sides, as soon as it starts to touch one of sides then let up off the mouse, See your fan yet?? I told you to trust me:) Now invert the selection (selections, invert) hit the delete button.
Ok, now you have your fan:) lets put the bottom on it
#11. Open new image .. 225/25 16 million/transparent
#12. Selection tool set at rounded rectangle starting at 5,5 draw it to 220,20 .. flood fill with 39160B (solid color)
#13. Go to image/effects, inner bevel .. width 4, smoothness 15, depth 12, ambience 0, shineness 50, angle 315, intensity 50, elevation 30. Click OK
#14. Deselect and copy and paste it as a new layer into your fan window, place it on the left side bottom of the fan (cover the fan just a little, Now go to Layers, Arrange, move down one. Now paste new layer again and place this one on top of the right side of the fan.
#15. Merge layers visible.
use the magic wand and select outside of your fan .. selections, invert (your fan should be selected now) Image, crop to selection.
There it is, now to colorize, I have tested the tolerance to be at least 30. SO take your magic wand, tolerence 30, feather 0, touch your fan. It should select all of the fan only and not the bottom.
Make a new layer, pick a color, just for the heck of it try it now, use a dark color like blue (193EC9) flood fill the fan (solid color) open the layer pallet, on the right side use the pull down window where is says normal, choose color.
COOL!!! Now you know how to make all different colors of them, of course I don't know what you would do with them, but then again I don't know what we do with half the stuff we make:) LOL
You can also add pictures and shadows, just do what you want to make
your pretty:)
