This the Bracelet that this Tutorial is for. You may scroll
to the bottom
to see what else can be done. Please use your imagination
to make your
ID Bracelet your own.
I don't say any where in here to save because I have a bad habit
of not
saving, so the BEST advice I can give right from the get go is to
SAVE OFTEN!
Set your foreground color to white FFFFFF
Add New layer make sure it is on top
Use your pre shape tool set to Ellipse, stroked, line width at 8, antialias checked
Zoom in once to the left hand corner of your work area.
Watch the numbers in the lower left hand corner of the PSP window .. start at 30/150 go to 50/160
Use your wand tolerance 0 feather unchecked and touch your little white chain link
Go to image, deformations, Cylinder _Horizontal 60% .. click OK
Go to image effects sculpture and use the preset GOLD with these settings size 25 .. smoothness 27 .. depth 10 .. ambiance 21 .. shininess 56 .. color white .. angle 24.. intensity 24 .. elevation 55 .. click ok
Control D to deselect
Now copy and paste your link as new layer 3 times until you have this.
Go to view and zoom in again so you can see your work.
With your eraser set to left slash, size 2 .. hardness 0 ..
opacity 100 .. step 25 .. density 100 .. brush normal .. Now in your layer
pallet highlight your second link then ONE click at a time erase part of
the link so it looks like the links are linked. Highlight the next
link and do the same thing, until you have them all done.
Open your layer pallet and turn off the visibility to the blue background.
Make sure one of your chain links is highlighted in the layer pallet window and then go to layers, merge, merge visible.
Turn your background back on so you can see the chain.
Highlight "merged" in the layer pallet and then copy and paste as new layer, use your eraser to erase that little piece where you put the two together.
Copy and paste as new layer two more times remember to "fix" where they are attached. When you are done then you can turn off the background and merge the chain together.
Turn your background back on
Now add new layer and make sure it is on the top.
Use your pre shapes set to circle stroked line width 6 antialias checked and draw a circle from 100/50 to 112/62
Use your magic wand to select it the circle, go to image, sculpture same settings as the gold you used before. Click OK
Use your line tool set to Single line, stroked, line width 6, antialias checked. Draw a line from the gold circle out to the side, then use the wand to click on it and go to image, sculpture use the gold settings .. should look like this.
Add new layer .. use your pre shapes set to circle, stroked, line width at 3, antialias checked. Draw a circle from 150/50 to 158/58 . Use your wand on it and go to image/sculpture and use the same gold settings as before.
Copy and paste that little ring as a new layer and move it to the right side of the long chain. Use your eraser so it looks like this.
Now go back to your first little ring (touch it with the mover tool) and move it to the clasp, use your eraser so it looks like this.
Open your layer pallet and turn off all your layers except the clasp and the little ring, now go to layers, merge, merge visible.
Turn that layer off and turn on the layers of your long chain and the little ring on the right end of that. Go to layers and merge those two together.
When merging make sure you have one of the layers that you are going to merge highlighted in the layer pallet.
Turn all the layers back on again.
Choose your clasp and then go to image, flip.
Move your long chain up on the page a little and then move your clasp to the left end of your chain and use your eraser until you have this.
Turn off your background and merge the chain and clasp together ..(
you may hit shift D now to duplicate this chain in another window so you
won't have to do it again if you ever want to make another one) turn
your background back on.
Add new layer .. put it on the top
Set your background color to white.
Use pre shapes set to Ellipse, filled, line width doesn't matter, antialias checked.
Start at 250/50 draw to 350/90
Set your foreground color to 8D6969
Use pre shapes, ellipse, stroked, line width 2, draw from 250/50 to 336/81 (a little hint, if you will zoom in when drawing coordinates you will have an easier time finding them and having them "stick")
Use your wand and touch the inside of the oval then hold down your shift key and touch the outer ring of the oval, it should look like this.
Go to selections, modify, expand 1 , click OK
Go to image, effects, sculpture you will be using the gold preset
but changing a few little things.
size 25, smoothness 4, depth 10, ambiance 21, shininess 56, angle
24, intensity 24, elevation 55, click OK
deselect and move the oval to the chain.
Turn off the background and merge layers.
Use your wand touch outside of the bracelet, go to selections, invert, image, crop to selection.
Open your layer pallet and delete the background.
Now decorate your the bracelet. With your text tool click on the oval and choose a text that is not to "busy" I used Amaze set at 22 points and the color 9B1313 set for floating, antialias, 0 kerning and leading. Leave it selected, center it in the oval.
Go to image, effect drop shadow, color black, opacity 30, blur 0, vertical 1, horizontal 2 .. click OK
I used a double heart and then added a drop shadow to the bracelet .. so use what ever you have and make your bracelet your bracelet .. that's what PSP is all about, seeing something you like and making it yourself.
I hope you had fun and thank you very much for trying this tutorial
