GtkScare is a runner for Adrift games for Linux.
For those who are not familiar with Adrift, it is a software used to create
Interactive Fiction games, also known as text adventures. Just download some
free Adrift games from http://www.ifarchive.org,
download GtkScare here, and
you are all set to play! Of course, GtkScare is available at If archive as well.
It is a GTK+ based GUI player for Adrift games. It uses the cross platform adrift
games interpreter SCARE (written by Simon Baldwin) internally to interpret the games.
That's where the 'Scare' in the name is coming from. The latest version is
0.4.

GtkScare Downloads
Note that you need to have GTK-2.0 or higher in order to run or compile GtkScare. If you
have RH8 or a newer version, then you will likely have no problems running either the
executable or compiling GtkScare. The source code for SCARE 1.3.2 is included with
GtkScare, so no need to download it separately.
