Our Group
The Midwest Academy is a branch of the Capoeira Angola Palmares Academy in Seattle, led by Contra-Mestre Pererê. We currently have active groups in Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois. We come together several times a year at one of our midwest locations to train with Contra-Mestre Pererê.
Internationally we are a part of the Associacao Brasileira Cultural de Capoeira Palmares (ABCCP) led by Mestre Nô out of Salvador, Brazil.
