Frank, Denver, Colorado

Frank is a graduate of Stanford University, holding a B.A. degree in Political Science.  Sports are his main interest and he has worked as a swimming teacher.  Frank has used his knowledge of French and German in his travels throughout Europe.

Jim, Wyomissing, Pennsylvania     (Update available)

Jim holds a B.A. degree in Physics from the University of California at Riverside.  He lists astronomy as one of his special interests.  Jim has worked as a teaching assistant at Northwestern University and as a research assistant in a lab.

Earl, Chicago, Illinois                   (Update available)

Earl is a University of Illinois graduate with a B.S. degree in Math.  He has experience working as a substitute teacher.  Earl has traveled in Canada and enjoys playing chess.

Linda, Tampa, Florida                    (Update available)

Linda has a B.A. degree in Mathematics which she received from the University of Florida in Gainsville.  She has held such positions as secretary-clerk in the university administration and in a marine electronics business.  Linda speaks Spanish and has traveled through Mexico.

John, Berkeley, California

John received his B.A. degree in Social Science from the University of California at Berkeley and his J.D. in Law from the University of California at Davis.  He has worked as an auto mechanic, a clerk and an antique refinisher.  Travel is his main interest.

Joe, Cahokia, Illinois             (additional information)

Joe attended Southern Illinois University where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Sociology.  He has previously served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi, teaching on the ninth and tenth grade levels.  Joe has traveled throughout West, East and Central Africa as well as in Mexico and Canada.

Madlain has an A.B. degree in Decorative Art from the University of California at Berkeley and is now working on her M.A. in Secondary Education and Foreign Language at San Francisco State College.  She has taught sixth grade and French and Spanish at the junior high level.   In addition she has worked as a bilingual secretary.  Her interests range from weaving, photography and history to philately.

Angela, Houston, Texas

Angela studied at Cleveland State University where she received her B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  Her work experience includes teaching and being a teacher trainer with the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic.  After completion of her Peace Corps service, Angela hopes to obtain her Master's in African Studies.

Carter, Akron, Ohio

Carter graduated from Hampden-Sydney in Virginia with a B.S. degree in Political Science.  He has worked as a high school teacher, a university instructor and an economic developer for a poverty program.  Carter is interested in travel and has visited Western and Eastern Europe as well as Scandinavia.
