Lately life has been pretty good to me. I've got some great friends and my FMS has been in remission for a few weeks. My Mom and I have been making a doll house. We finished the house last week, and now we're working on the furniture. We'd bought a really nice kit, but the furniture turned out to be way too large for the house. So we're making our own furniture out of balsa wood. Looks pretty good if I say so myself. (lol) Since all of my nieces have doll houses already, I guess we'll give this one away. Maybe a children's hospital, or a children's shelter. We haven't gotten that far yet.

Lately I spend all of my time killing ants. We have an exterminator that comes once a month, but it doesn't seem to solve our ant problem. He puts stuff out, but the ants never seem to die. I've found my own remedy that seems to work better than the stuff he uses...WD-40! (lol) Dont laugh, not only does it kill them on contact, but they don't return to that trail.....ever. however, at the rate I'm using this stuff, I'll be buying out Wal-Mart in no time at all. (lol)

I've been sitting here at my computer working on some photo's and playing a game. All the while I'm being messaged by various men. Do men really think we want to see pics of their wieners?? It's been my experience that once you've seen one, you've seen them all. And trust me guys, 3 inches does NOT do anything for anyone! (lol) Another question that comes to mind after talking to these guys....do you really think a woman is going to want to cyber with a total stranger?? I mean, I have a good imagination, and I'm no prude, but give me the real thing anyday!

Ok, I've gotten that out of my system. I just get sick of the same thing over and over from men. I mean, what ever happened to the old fashioned gentleman? You know, the guy who's fun to be with, interesting to talk to, and is into more than superficiality? I think they must have gone with the dinosaurs. I've never been interested in how someone looks, whether they're skinny or not. To me it's all just packaging. Unfortunately Mother Nature will strike. When she does, you're left with nothing but the inside. If you're inside is lacking, then honey you're in trouble!

My Mother and I have been making a doll house and furniture. The dollhouse kit was very inexpencive, only $20. We both love to build things, but once we finish them we have no idea what to do with them. All of the grandchildren have dollhouses already, so we decided to give this one away. After talking to my brother Mark, we decided to give this house to "Connors Nursery". Connors is a place for children with aids.

We drove to Connors Nursery last week to drop off the house. The woman there was so excited with the doll house. She told me they had 90 children who live there, all of them dying from aids, and none of them having a home to go to. Such a sad thing to see a child sick and dying, from anything. Even sadder to think their families have abandoned them.

I've seen this over and over with my nephew who has Cerebal Palsy. When he was in school, you'd see his classmates, most of them one step away from being a vegetable, with and only a mother to love them and care for them. The fathers, 90% of them, were long gone. That seems to say something about our society I think. No one wanting to take responcibiliy for anything, much less their children. So many parents that seem to treat their pets better than they do their own flesh and blood. Being unable to have children, and always wanting a child, I find this so hard to comprehend.

This week I'm painting. I'd love to be painting my office and my bedroom, both of them in dire need of a coat of paint, but instead I'm painting a seascape. The days of being able to paint more than a picture are long gone I'm afraid. I should be thinking of Christmas, and what gifts I'll be making this year, but I can't seem to get too enthused at this point. With a total of 15 people to buy for, the sooner I start, the easier I can afford to give gifts. I'm still waiting to hear if the Social Security Administration is going to cut off my disability. I guess no news is good news. At least I hope so, I have no idea what I'd do if I lost my disability payments and my medical benefits. It's hard enough to make ends meet now, without losing more money.
